Congee Queen - Mississauga(Heartland Town Centre)

Great place for classic Cantonese comfort food. They have all the usual selections, but today I ordered the beef and broccoli and fried squid. Both were very tasty and a good value. Service, like in a lot of Chinese restaurants can be chaotic, but that's to be expected.

We thought this was a small restaurant but upon enter, we were surprised but the size of the restaurant. It was quite busy, so we did have to wait a while for ordering, but the food came out quickly. The food tastes well but the roast duck we ordered is a little too chewy. We liked the seafood congee and the stir-fried rice noodle rolls.

I come to this specific congee queen quite often. The place is always quite packed and even if you make a reservation, be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes depending on how busy it can get. I never get the congee despite the name as I feel like I can make it at home just as good. Food is always fresh, comes out on a timely matter and service can range from being very inattentive to slightly attentive but not really. This is to be expected though as its always very packed. If you are wondering what I personally recommend to get the fried chili turnip patty, any of the bbq platter, fried tiger shrimp with chicken and mango, snow pea leaf with king mushroom, etc. There are so many good options. This time I came with the a lot of the family (a party of 10) and there were no hiccups at all. Overall I recommend to try this spot at least once. It may be overwhelming to someone not used to this place, but the food is decent as long as you know what to get.

Accompanied by our Canadian friends, we had lunch at the restaurant early this Sunday around 11:00. To our surprise, a long line had already formed at the entrance. We ordered the restaurant’s signature dishes. The food was delicious, made with fresh ingredients, and the portions were generous at an affordable price. The restaurant can cater to large crowds, making it an ideal spot to catch up with friends and family. The service was decent—not overly attentive, but efficient enough to keep things moving despite the crowd.

After seeing only the outside of this place, finally had the opportunity to try it for the first time and had a great experience! Although there was a brief wait, which was expected during the dinner rush, it was organized. The atmosphere and appearance was very clean even though it was at capacity! The service and the food were excellent! We ordered multiple dishes, one of every animal, and the taste was spot on authentic! Highly recommend this place for your next family meal and would definitely return! Keep up the great experience!

Visited on a Sunday and despite the busy atmosphere, we were seated quickly. A bit noisy at times due to large groups. There was a slight delay in taking our order, but the food arrived promptly. Tried the roast chicken, oodles of noodles with mixed veggies and both were well-prepared, but the mango salad truly stood out! Portions are substantial, presentation was very appealing. Overall, Congee Queen offers tasty food and good quality for the money, making it a solid choice for those craving Chinese cuisine in Mississauga. 🍜🥗✨.

We come here often because the food is always tasty, with large servings at a budget-friendly price. The restaurant can cater to big crowds, making it an ideal spot for catching up with friends and family. Food and atmosphere was amazing so not much to say, even a bit nicer than the Scarborough & Don Mills locations. Major downside was service and staff hygiene. Once seated, no one came to take our order, we had to get up and flag someone down. Food came out in good time, but once it was time to pay again had to take 5 minutes for a server to make eye contact to get the bill. Not even eye contact my girlfriend had to pretty much stop the server in their tracks to ask for the bill. The kicker is hygiene. The washroom is real nice and clean but a staff member in uniform (not sure if they were a cook or server but tbh doesn’t matter) came out the stall and DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS. His hands touched water for 0.5 seconds then he left. 🤮
