I have tried biriyani from Cochin delights london and it was really good. So I thought of trying the same from Scarborough branch, it was the worst biriyani..no gravy nothing.. not happy with the product

We ordered 3 porotta, one chicken curry, one biriyani and fish curry from there. They never have food after 5pm, and says everything is finished already even though restaurant is open until 9pm. Chicken curry biriyani wasn’t tasty at all. Chicken in biriyani seemed to be raw and biriyani was very oily and tasteless. There is no biriyani nasal or anything. The only thing I could taste was pickle. I won’t recommend their biriyani as well as chicken curry at all. Fish curry was decent but very few pieces. We have ordered food from here before but it seems like quality is decreasing day by day .

Superb Kerala takeaway food. They have a lot of variety im curry and meats. I tried the mutton curry, mutton fry, and pork fry. As sides, I got matta rice and parotas. All were excellent. Meat quality was good, a good mix of lean and fat, the curry/spice mix was deeply flavoured, and all were made in the Kerala style. They also had malabar style fish, anchovy fry, various chicken dishes from the region. For starters I threw in a beef cutlet. 👌 Just like my grandma from Kerala would have made it. They also have dine in tables for quick eating. Staff was friendly and willing to take the time to explain the dishes and cooking style. The interior space is nice and tidy, spotless, just like Kerala🏝️🌴🥥. I scanned the marble and countertop surfaces and couldn't see a spot or streak. ✨ If this place was closer to home I'd visit often.

I bought porotta and beef curry from Cochin Delights, and it cost nearly 16 dollars. But it was a bad experience., as you can see in the review photos.

I ordered beef fry and porotta from Cochin Delights Express hoping for a delicious meal. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The beef fry tasted bland and overly salty, leaving much to be desired in terms of flavor. Additionally, the porotta was disappointingly thick, resembling a rubber sheet in texture. It was extremely hard and ultimately a waste of money. Overall, my experience with Cochin Delights Takeout fell short of expectations, and I would not recommend it based on this subpar experience.

TLDR - ആഹാരം പോരാ 😐 ബിരിയാണി വാങ്ങി പണി കിട്ടി 🥲 Buy at your risk! Cochin Delights Express - the new kid on the block amidst the numerous MALAYALI (South Indian) restaurants in Scarborough. Haven’t been to this joint in person so far but ordered through Uber Foods a bunch of times before placing this review. I went for this place with a lot of expectations especially because they are starting out and wanted to support a fellow business in the hopes that they serve quality food. But evidently, that good will backfired on me. Have ordered pothichoru (packed rice meal combo with curries) which was an utter disappointment with respect to portion size. In Uber Foods, their #1 liked food item is Chicken Biriyani so gave it a shot. Utter disappointment and unhealthy in various levels. As I opened the package I did notice a strange smell in the rice which was not good Basmati but then again I gave it the benefit of doubt. Tried a very small portion of the food because of my fear, needless to say it was right. The rice had a very stinky smell, it was not properly cooked and the Biriyani is not a Dum Biriyani. The chicken was over fried and had to literally dump the rest of the Biriyani 😑 The Biriyani can be summed up as a mixture of heavy masala + rice + fried chicken which is then made into a makeshift Biriyani package. Looking forward to trying out this joint in person and provide an updated review. I feel they really need to work on the quality of the food being served.

The service, atmosphere and the food, was the best. I loved the way it’s neatly arranged and the taste was really good too. The chicken cutlet was really fresh and tasty. I really got the feeling of having it from India. The chefs really does a good job 👏🏻. The service was also appreciable. A very polite staff who addressed our enquiries in a very professional manner.
