We got the viral s’mores hot chocolate and it was so worth the price as it was absolutely delicious. The hot chocolate itself was rich and thick without being overwhelmingly sweet, and the marshmallow topping and whipped cream was perfect! They had an efficient system going so wait time wasn’t bad at all. Would definitely come back!

This was a nice repreive from the cold of winter. The decor is captivating, warm and spacious. The staff was pleasant, helpful and provided good recommendations. The food was very good and the portion sizes were robust. All in all good value for money. Highly recommend and look forward to going again.

Had a dinner reservation here on a Sunday evening a few days out from Christmas. Definitely a busy time during the holidays, and a lot of people were asking to come in expecting a table without a reservation but the host mentioned that they were booked out and that it might be a 1-1.5h wait if anything. We were able to get seated maybe ten minutes or so after our scheduled reservation time. Interestingly enough, we saw a lot of empty tables in the restaurant throughout the course of our meal. Our server was very attentive and warm. She definitely contributed to the positive impression that we had with the restaurant. Had the pâté and the escargot for apps. The pâté was pretty tasty - just didn’t really like the bread which I think could have been thinner and less chalky in texture. The bread kinda crumbles in your mouth in an unpleasant way and is pretty hard to bite into. The escargot was better in my opinion to the pâté. The toast was cut into small circular bites and were toasted but also steeped in the warm garlic butter. The escargot I feel like could’ve been a bit less tough, but we’re okay. I had the grilled monkfish, which was great. The fish was cooked well and I really liked the corn foam and corn that it came with. I think the title of the dish on the menu can give more emphasis on the corn because it really does take up more space in the dish than the fish itself. I liked the addition of the chili oil with everything. Had the sweet corn crème brûlée for dessert and really wasn’t expecting the way that it was prepared. I was thinking this was going to be a typical baked custard in a ramekin that was flavoured with sweet corn, but was completely different. I didn’t think it really came across as a crème brûlée. Also had the fig cocktail, which was okay. I think it was pretty straightforward and not really as good as I was expecting in terms of highlighting a fresh or flavourful fig taste profile.

It was my first time visiting and had a great time here! The food is really good and I also love the decor and atmosphere. I did appreciate they did not squeeze too many tables beside each other so the seating was very comfortable. Our waiter was also very nice. The table bread and fries and really delicious but the highlight for the night was the mussels! There’s quite a lot of seating inside but be sure to reserve a table during the winter holidays season.

Leaving a review for their bakery side - visited as part of the Distillery Christmas Market because of their special hot chocolate as one of the highlights of the event. Their hot chocolate was freshly made with the toasted marshmallow topping and service was very fast since mostly everyone was purchasing it. Their bakery also has other hot drinks and prepared sandwiches available as well for a takeout meal. Overall appreciated the service provided in having this prepared especially given all the attention during the event.

One of my favorite French cuisine restaurants in Toronto. The French Onion soup is phenomenal during any season, but the seasonal menu deserves some kudos too! Dear Chef and sous Chef - we loved everything we had. Outstanding. I recommend this place to our friends and family for birthdays or any occasion. The desserts are also lightweight and delicious without being too super sized. Highly recommend Cluny's for French food in Toronto.

Cluny holds a dear place in my heart. It's that restaurant for special and romantic occasions. The atmosphere is brillant. I always feel like I am in Europe away from the craziness of Toronto. It gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling, and the wait staff are lovely. I always have the French onion soup, and it is simply heavenly! The bread basket pairs wonderfully with it, and the wine options are plenty! The dessert menu is great; however, I miss the Terrarium- what a delicious masterpiece! I would love if Cluny brought it back!

This is a pretty delayed review but we had come here during the winter months and won’t be rating the service as I don’t remember how the service was. I’m not a huge fan of the dinner ambiance as it’s pretty dark inside and my eyes always have a hard time adjusting to it. I’m sure I’m probably the only one that doesn’t particularly enjoy dark restaurants. Other than that, the food was good, but it wasn’t exactly memorable and enough for me to return in the near future. It’s definitely finer dining prices but honestly every restaurant now feels like finer dining prices.
