An old style fish and chips selling several types of fish and seafood along with meat pies, chicken and of course French fries or chips. They serve a selection of canned and bottled soft drinks and also have a selection of beer. We had the daily fish and chip special which included Haddock fish and chips plus your choice of creamy or oil and vinegar coleslaw along with a canned soft drink. The lunch came piping hot and perfectly cooked. The fish was flaky with a light batter and fries were golden brown and plentiful. Coleslaw was a generous portion as well. Service was prompt and friendly.

We asked for our fish and chips well done and it was well worth it. I believe the best fish and chips in Mississauga, when it's cooked a bit more it's perfect. Thank you Rose!

The quality of food is downward. I like this place and have always ordered the jumbo haddock. However, today I found that the so-called "jumbo haddock" consisted of two tiny fillets wrapped in batter. This is not honest! I am disappointed.

Lined up for 30 minutes plus, ** it was Good Friday, I get it, it is very Busy. Waited another 30 minutes for the food, ** it was Good Friday, I get it, it is very Busy. BUT, when I picked up the food, 3 individual orders, I checked the bag, counted 3 and mentioned the Coleslaw was missing. She took the bag and came back with it and another small bag, Coleslaw, and off I went, with a pleasant, " thank you". When I got home, only 2 orders, and the Coleslaw. GOOD FRIDAY DINNER WAS RUINED !!! Tried a phone call Friday, nothing. Tried a phone call Saturday ( after 4 ), nothing. I will Never go back to Clarkson Fish and Chips. We are Human, we make Mistakes, but this was at the wrong time.

I used to order from this place all the time but I will never order or give them my business again. It's to bad because I was never disappointed with the food, the only thing was I felt that the fish was a little bit greasy. The reason for me not to ever go back, is the Lady(Owner) doesn't appreciate repeated busines. A year ago I tried to pre-order some food 3 days before good Friday. When I called to place an order for that day, the owner responded rudely saying that I should of pre-order a week in advance & hung up on me. I always found her a little arrogant & rude but she really out did herself this time also who the hell pre- orders fish & chips a week in advance.

Clarkson Fish & Chips has become the only fish and chips in the Clarkson area that I trust. The location itself is always a full house in certain hours of the day which speaks volumes on local ratings of the place. Also the pricing is very reasonable compared to other competitors by a mile! Staff are always friendly, talkative, and welcoming. The fish itself is always made fresh and not super oily which is a plus from most fish and chips we have consumed. Just a claustrophobic feeling when waiting in line when busy. Would recommend, but look to come in on non-peak hours unless you're okay with waiting 30+ minutes!

Picked up fish and chips on Good Friday. Happy with the meal, quality fish pieces and well made fries. Portions were decent, but the cost of halibut was apparent. $18 for a piece of halibut and chips, with $14 for an additional piece. One of the few fish and chip restaurants in the area (Park Royal Fish and Chips seems to have odd hours), so the wait was considerable. Approximately an hour and a half wait, no chance to pre-order over the phone. Will visit again when it isn't their busy day. Menu is straightforward, fish (halibut, haddock, cod) with some other options you'd expect (fries, onion rings, chicken fingers, etc).

This restaurant food wise is excellent! They are a mom and pop shop that clearly put love and wisdom to their craft. However they can slightly have better customer service a tad bit grumpy and the venue is very, very run down. Aside from that, excellent food and some of the best poutine I've every had, even compared to Quebec Poutine.
