Church's Texas Chicken

Great food and service. Someone actually working at the counter to greet customers. Chicken is crispy and not dripping in grease like KFC and popeyes. Had a nice chat with the owner who made an effort to talk to his customers. What a refreshing idea. Will definitely be back!

I came to this Texas Fried Chicken branch at 1 a.m., craving something bold, and decided to try their extra spicy chicken. Let me tell you, it was a revelation! The flavor was absolutely phenomenal—perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with just the right level of fiery heat. This is, without a doubt, the BEST chicken I’ve ever had from any Texas Fried Chicken location. They’ve truly mastered the art of making spicy chicken that leaves you wanting more with every bite. The late-night service was fast, friendly, and flawless. This branch has set a new standard for fried chicken. I’ll definitely be back, and I recommend everyone try their extra spicy chicken—it’s a game-changer! Best Texas chicken till date. Definitely Recommended!

Think Popeyes chicken. That’s the best description. If you haven’t had Popeyes then think KFC with a super duper crispy coating. Yum. So good. Onion rings good too. Chicken sandwich was huge. All food hot and plentiful. Biscuit was tasty and fluffy. Lost two points due to drafty cool seating. Especially when the front door opened. Also, chairs are heavy and clunky. Not the best for eat in. I’d certainly return. Food was fantastic.

Chicken was fresh and super crispy! The service was excellent! The chicken is tasty, and not near as salty as the Colonel's! After eating here, I do NOT regret it! 🙂 The chicken is also much larger than "that other place". Overall, a much better value for the money! 🙂👍

We ordered the 12 piece dinner through Skip the Dishes. We ordered the spicy chicken with fries and jalapeño poppers. We enjoyed the meal. The chicken was better than kfc when hot, but not as good the next day…just me. The biscuits were amazing. I would order again.

Overall the food was just fine, hard to justify $12 for a chicken sandwich and fountain drink. It was hot and fresh but was lacking any real flavour and the cheese never melted even though the chicken was hot. The brown lettuce was also off putting. Service could be better and the menu needs some improvement. It didn’t clearly state that the price listed was for the combo or how much a combo would be and I don’t think the cashier understood what I was asking. My co-worker had the combo with the fries for their meal so I was able to try them. They were crispy, similar to Costco fries so over all decent fries. He also agreed that the food wasn’t worth the price. It’s a new building with clean bathrooms, although one was already out of service. Wouldn’t be my first choice to go back, I think Popeyes is a better deal. And seeing no response from owners to the low star ratings makes you think they don’t really care about their customers.
