Owner was RUDE. Short lady with man bun haircut. VERY rude. Giving us dirty looks as soon as we entered. Aggressive behaviour in bathroom banging on stall door waiting only 1 minute to use bathroom.

Iconic dundas west venue for as long as I can remember. I’ve lived in Toronto for 38 years, and whenever I’m in the area I stop by Churchill because it feels like a home away from home. The music is always on point, food is 10/10, crowd is always friendly, and service is a well oiled machine. Also it’s pretty much always open, and the owner is always there from start to finish, working the bar and simultaneously running the whole place. It’s obvious how much dedication snd pride she has for her craft and her neighborhood. Definitely a real one 🫡🫡🫡

Came here over the weekend to enjoy the great music but was met with the most hostile and aggressive service by one of the bartenders, who claim to be the owner. When my friend politely asked to refill the self serve water station, she refused, stating this “wasn’t a watering hole”, threw a plastic cup at her head and proceeded to call her a c***. My other friends also tried to order drinks and when we hesitated slightly to confirm the order, she completely ignored us and we never received our drinks. The music here is awesome but honestly, the service is terrible, it just isn’t worth it. Never coming back!

Ordered 2 beers and 1 cocktail on Euro finals evening (match was long done). When asked what Whiskey cocktails are on offer, bar keep says oh like 5000. And then doesn't tell us how much each drink costs and charges us $50 for 2 beers, 1 whiskey cocktail, and a lemonade. Weird. Anyway hope she enjoyed the extra bucks made off us.

I walked in with another person, sat down at the bar and ordered 2 ciders but before the bartender opened it, I wanted to know the price for a Long Island. She gave a nasty attitude as if we were going to the viral restaurant that is purposefully rude (Karen’s Diner). As a New Yorker I had to give the bartender 3 choice words as we left with our stomachs empty and other patrons confused.

There seems to be a trend here with a certain bartender.....Last night went to Churchills, our party of 7 walked in grabbed some water from the self-service station and sat on the patio to have a seat as we normally do as we have been coming to Churchills for a couple of years now. Two members of our party went back inside to order drinks for the table but in less than 2 minutes one of the bartenders came outside on a rampage said that we were only drinking water and just said "out" multiple times. When trying to explain to her, we had others ordering drinks inside she called us liars and demanded us to leave but just again saying "out." Her treatment of customers can easily be seen by other reviews and should be addressed immediately. We had advised that we wouldn't be coming back again her response was a fake crying sound and that her feelings were hurt. Highly unprofessional and overall pathetic. Sad to say, this incident has ruined my perspective of one of my favorite bars.

Alive and vibrant! With lots of frequents which means the quality of atmosphere wouldn’t change for people after a while! I stayed for a short period of time, but will go back for sure! I was highly recommended to try one of their cocktails called Air Force 1! Isn’t that fantastic?!
