ChungChun Rice Dog

Chung Chun is a popular spot for Korean-style rice hot dogs, offering a unique twist with its chewy rice flour batter. On our recent visit, we ordered the whole mozzarella and half mozzarella hot dogs. Though the wait was a bit long despite only one customer ahead, the quality of the food made it worthwhile. The hot dogs were generously topped—one with wasabi, chipotle, and butter garlic, and the other with sweet mayo, sweet chili, and honey butter. We preferred the latter combination, but the wasabi added an interesting kick. Since the hot dogs are fried, they’re quite heavy; one was enough, but it’s worth trying two to sample more flavors.

Quick service. Good breading-to-hotdog ratio. Crispy breading. Juicy hotdogs. Most of the sauces and seasonings are sweet so you can get tired of it fast.

Stopped by after a late commute home. For a little pick me up. They have excellent service! And the food is better than other locations. Halal options as well. Fresh, hot, and fast. And cannot understate the customer service. I did not get the name but the girl working tonight’s late night shift should get a pay raise.

When we get a craving for Korean snacks, Chungchun is our go-to spot. Their rice dogs are always on point—crispy on the outside, gooey cheese on the inside, and just the right balance of sweet and savoury. The best part? The food is always fresh and hot because they cook everything right when you order. It’s not just fast food; it’s quality street food that hits the spot every time. The customer service is solid. There are a couple of Filipinos working there who are super warm and friendly. Even though the place was packed and the wait time was longer than usual, they kept things running smoothly and made us feel welcome. We ended up eating in the car since there was no room inside, but that didn’t take away from the experience at all. It’s a bit of a drive from where we live, but honestly, it’s totally worth it when the craving hits. 🤤

Amazing spot for a snack. Your food comes out so hot and fresh, and every bite full of melted cheese but the outside is so deliciously crispy and crunchy. They also have many choices of toppings and sauces to your liking. 100% Im giving this place 5 star overall. the only thing that wasn’t the greatest were the wait times for your food. It definitely takes alittle while to get your food. BUT the service itself is fantastic. Anyways will definitely be back!

A secret hidden gem in Mississauga. This place is my go to dinner place on my lazy cooking days. These Korean rice dogs are to die for. They have a handful of options and 1 halal option. I don’t know why they don’t have more locations, but the food is worthwhile. I typically try to order a new one each time I go, and so far the poutine one is my favourite besides the chocolate (dessert option). It’s always crunchy, however sometimes the stick isn’t always in the middle so when you take a bite, the rice dog can be on the verge of coming off the stick. The service is pretty good - someone is always ready and there to take your order. The ambiance is very casual. One of those go in and get out places. They have high top “tables,” but you can’t really classify them as tables because they do not have chairs where you can sit, so by default all the orders are “to-go.” Otherwise - parking is not always available, but try to go nonetheless - it’s well worth it!
