WOW, JUST WOW! The moment I walked in I was greeted by friendly waitresses and the newly renovated restaurant looked so much better than ever! The space was very clean, cutesy, and modern! THE NEW CHEF ATE UP AND LEFT NO CRUMBS!! The soup tasted unique compared to other restaurants with a nice peppery and milky broth! The chicken was very fresh and I loved how there were 2 different sauces to try out (a ginger sauce and a garlic one). The iced lemon tea was such a banger! It was so refreshing and complemented with every scrumptious dish that was served on the dining table tonight! Every seafood dish was very fresh and savoury and the chow mein tasted very unique and addicting to consume! And lastly, the cheesecake was so creamy and light along with the popping boba hk style toast!

First time to try out this restaurant. Lots of parking but can be full during rush hours. Restaurant is bright and tables are not crowded together. Feel comfortable. Food wise. It is so so. Especially for the bitter melon with spare rib. It lacks of the taste and temperature cooked from hot wok (鑊氣). Some of the spare ribs were just warm. The good thing (or may be included in price) is no extra charge for cold drink. They did give four slices of lemon for the lemon tea as well , which is great

Reasonable pricing. Newly renovated very clean and spacious. Even the washroom is pretty clean for an Asian restaurant. Night combo comes with rice OR soup (not both). Has dessert too which was really satisfying. Would go back for sure!

Overall ordinary, no big surprises, the “Milk Lava French Toast” toast was fluffy and fresh, the white lava cream was smooth and not too sweet, but the brown powder spread on top does not taste like Ovaltine, nor chocolate powder; it does not have a particular fragrance. While it looks good hopefully they could make it more Ovaltine. On the plus side, it’s quite spacious inside and service was good!

Clean and friendly service. Suski the server was friendly. The food quality is ok. It is a bit pricy; but they served the food hot. We have four people with an order of 4 dishes combo. However they only served us 2 bowls of rice and 2 bowls of soup of the day. I think this is so frugal. The dessert is red bean soup with tapioca. Average quality. We had also ordered an extra dessert like French toast in Ovaltine powder. It is ok; but not outstanding.

I visited this restaurant for lunch on Thanksgiving Day, and I must say, my experience was quite disappointing compared to other Chinese and Hong Kong-style restaurants I’ve frequented. Upon arrival, the restaurant was packed, and we were seated at a table near the door. Unfortunately, this location was less than ideal, as every time someone opened the door, a cold gust of wind would sweep in, making it uncomfortable even with our jackets on. It was hard to enjoy our meal in such a chilly environment. The service was another letdown. It felt like the staff were more attentive to their regular customers, while we were largely ignored. Our orders were forgotten, and we noticed that tables that arrived after us were served promptly. This inconsistency in service was frustrating. One staff member, in particular—a slim lady with a bob haircut —had a notably cold and snarky demeanor. Her attitude made us feel unwelcome, which detracted from the overall dining experience. In contrast, Suki and another waitress were friendly and accommodating, which was a small relief amidst the otherwise lackluster service. As for the food, I ordered the baked pork chop with spaghetti, and I was quite underwhelmed. The dish was mediocre at best. While the portion was generous in terms of the pork chop, it was filled with fatty meat and bones, making it difficult to enjoy. The spaghetti was overshadowed by the heavy pork chop, and the overall flavor was lacking. As someone with a low spice tolerance, I found the dish to be unexpectedly spicy, which left me panting and reaching for more water and milk tea. Unfortunately, we hadn’t even received our bill yet, and I was already feeling lightheaded and dizzy from the heat. The total bill for three people came to around $60-$65, which isn’t unreasonable, but given the quality of the food and service, I felt it was not worth it. The washroom facilities were average, with only two stalls available, and I found the faucet placement to be inconvenient, as it was positioned to the side, making it awkward to use. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was disappointing, and I wouldn’t choose to return. There are definitely better options for Chinese and Hong Kong-style cuisine that offer both better food and service.

HK cafe . There food is very average nothing stands out. The taste was ok but something is missing. Baked chicken steak rice with black pepper sauce. The sauce ok. Pick your own sandwich. looks and tastes pretty sad. like something made at home. The Drink you can get it cook free at afternoon tea time and with out ice too. The taste wasn't there.

I visited this place with my friend for dinner 2 days after their renovation/reopen. Staff were very nice but I personally think their food certainly have rooms for improvement. The restaurant only had 2 tables of customer including us, one of the dish that I ordered was deep fried tofu, and it took them over 30 mins to serve! Tofu was a little too spicy and the size was chopped irregularly. Shrimps in the stir fried vermicelli were also chopped into small chunks instead of using a whole or smaller shrimp. Other than that, I think it will be nice to implement more Guangdong style 'rice dish' into the dinner menu so that it is more equivalent to what they are serving in their breakfast and/or lunch menu, or even the name of the restaurant '潮茶檔'. The staff asked me for comments, which I provided, but she always came up with explanations to revoke what I suggested, so all my answers to her questions there after were, 'yes, it was delicious, very nice!'. Food price was within budget though, I got a 15% off discount, 2 free lemon ice tea (for some reasons they didn't charge me) and a free dessert. My last suggestion is, never take a customer's credit card out of his/her sight! I paid by credit card, the guy took my card to the counter and brought it back along with the card machine after a while....
