Chillis & Chimneys -The Great Indian Bistro

Last night, we celebrated New Year's Eve at this restaurant as a group of four families, and it was a fantastic experience! The ambiance was perfect for a festive gathering, and we thoroughly enjoyed the party. As a thoughtful touch, they provided complimentary starters, which were absolutely delicious and added great value to the evening. It's a wonderfully family-friendly place, and we all had a memorable time. Highly recommended!

It's a underrated gem located in downtown Hamilton. This spacious restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience and the food is exceptional at resonable prices. The service is friendly and efficient. The restaurant features a separate bar area, kids' play zone, and buffet, making it ideal for families. Ample parking is available on the street and in two nearby lots. With its great location, excellent food, and inviting atmosphere, this spot has huge potential and is definitely worth a visit!

I had the egg fried rice at Chillis and Chimney’s, and it was absolutely delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked, fluffy, and flavorful, with a great balance of spices and fresh ingredients like bell peppers and spring onions. The egg was evenly mixed, adding richness to every bite. The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying and enjoyable meal. Highly recommend it!

I recently visited a spacious restaurant in Hamilton that, while offering a limited menu, truly excels in what they serve. The venue boasts a dining area, a kids’ section, a bar, and even games, making it a versatile spot for various occasions. The view from the windows is especially enchanting during snowfall, adding a magical touch to the experience. We ordered the Paneer 65 Biryani, which was incredibly flavorful but a bit too spicy for my palate—though it would likely delight chili lovers. The Garlic Naan and Aloo Korma were equally impressive, with generous portions perfect for two. The hospitality was noteworthy, as the staff graciously offered something off the menu: a refreshing watermelon fizz drink and lemonade, which were delightful surprises. Overall, it’s a great place to visit for good food, a cozy ambiance, and thoughtful service. Definitely worth checking out!

I recently visited this restaurant for dinner, and it was a delightful experience. The place is spacious and has a nice ambiance. The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff. We ordered Chicken Majestic and Hyderabad Chicken Biryani. The Chicken Majestic was delicious, bursting with tangy and spicy flavors that we absolutely loved. The Biryani, however, was average and could use some improvement in terms of flavor. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and the excellent service. We would definitely visit again!

First time here and had a great experience! Loved the chole bhatura! Good seasoning, came out hot and fresh. The shrimp were decent. Nothing to complain about, but the tandoori chicken stole the show. The spice blend was beautiful and cooked perfectly! Would love to see a cocktail menu or beer as well, but we will be back 💕

Good food but bit of a bizarre location; quite steep stairs to go up to the restaurant which I'm sure elderly diners won't love. Once you get to the main area you'll find half of it and arcade/pool table area? Odd to say the least.. The other half is a lovely setup with decent decor and large bay windows looking out to King St. The service was great, only 1 server (9pm on a Wednesday) but she was fantastic. Absolutely a great experience when it comes to service. Jill was the best part of the experience! The food was good. No complaints at all and the portions were decent. We ordered the Chicken 65 w/gravy app which was nicely spicy and flavourful. Definitely on the higher level of heat for the average diner. Jeera rice was lovely. The pop of flavour biting into the cumin seeds was top tier. We also got the Garlic Naan which was as expected; chewy, flavourful, and had the right amount of ghee on it. Tandoori chicken had a good amount of spice as well. Two full chicken leg quarters, was once again flavourful and cooked quite nicely. Mango lassi was fantastic, although could have been colder. Lemon juice was very salty but was a good contrast with the spicy chicken 65. Definitely suggest a bit less salt in that one. Overall a good experience. Once this restaurant gets their look together, it'll be a Hamilton staple. Excited to see how it evolved and what they plan to do with the strange arcade space.

Will definitely be frequenting this place more often. Great to have an authentically delicious South Indian restaurant in Hamilton. Don't need to drive outside Hamilton for the real south Indian food . The food was AMAZING! Probably one of the best chicken biryanis that I’ve had. We also had the Chilly chicken , Naan was best best crispy, we oder for our little one a hakka noodles she love it .
