Chiang Mai Thai Kitchen

I've eaten in Chiang Mai in two other locations, and this is the first time I ate at the Etobicoke location. Parking spots by the restaurant are extremely limited, but more are available underground. The restaurant is smaller than other locations, so it might get crowded during dining hours. Servers are attentive, with prompt service all around. The sweet potato fritters appetizer is a favourite, and it came in a huge portion that three of us couldn't finish it. The beef Khao Soi was on point, and the chicken pineapple fried rice was great as well. The chilli chicken was a bit disappointing, with few chicken pieces per portion and a mountain of vegetables in the bowl. Despite the minor setback, Chiang Mai is still a solid choice for Thai foods in GTA, and the Etobicoke location does not disappoint.

What an experience! The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was lively and friendly. But the true highlight of the night was the exceptional service - especially from Omar. Initially, we ran into a few issues with our orders, but Omar, who wasn’t even our assigned server, stepped in and completely turned things around. He ensured everything we needed was brought out promptly and handled the situation with professionalism and care. When I insisted on paying for the corrected dishes, he absolutely refused, leaving us feeling valued and appreciated. What could have been our last visit to this restaurant instead turned into a night we’ll always remember. Omar’s outstanding service has solidified this place as a family favorite, and we can’t wait to return—this time with friends in tow. Thank you for everything, Omar!

We loved the place! From the food to the service, everything was bang on 10/10. We ordered for Kho Soi, Pineapple Rice, Pad Thai and Tiramisu in dessert. Everything tasted delicious. However Pineapple Rice and Pad Thai was my favourite. Let talk about service - our server (sorry I did not took his name) was paying attention to details which I respect. We had some waste in our plate on the side which he proactively cleared it. Other serving staff also looked pretty active and alert. Must visit especially if you are looking for Thai -Halal restaurant.

It was my first time trying halal thai food we ordered tom yong soup, Mango salad, Crispy chilli chicken, Pat Thai with shrimp and Mango sticky rice. Really loved the soup and pat thai. The mango sticky rice was not up to the mark but overall the service was amazing Osmar did a great job serving and atmosphere was amazing. Really loved the place overall.

All the servers were amazing, specifically Mark. We had a huge birthday party but he was very attentive to our wants and allergies. Very accommodating and friendly! Overall the service was quick and fast. We loved the milk tea ice cream tub ($14) We appreciate Irene for taking amazing pictures for us & Osmar for serving!

I absolutely love Thai food, and this restaurant exceeded my expectations! The flavors were authentic and delicious, with every dish bursting with the perfect blend of spices and aromas. The service was exceptional; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. I was also really pleased with the value for money—great portions at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing Thai dining experience. I'll definitely be coming back!

The food is good, and the price is justified. Serving time is very fast and efficient. Staff is nice, and had a warm welcome. The atmosphere is super. Recommended for friends gathering. The entrance and parking are difficult to find.

Delicious food and friendly staff! I went here with my friends after our 5K run, and this was such a great treat after running in the Toronto heat. Their basil fried rice with lobster was amazing, and all the starters we ordered were also great. My only issue was how big their portions were; we struggled to finish our food and had to take most of it home! LOL Additionally, the amazing server ensured that my partner’s allergies were taken into account and made sure there was no cross-contamination with his food. 10/10 would definitely come back.
