CheeZaatar

I visited CheeZaatar with my family yesterday, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The place itself is new and very clean, which is a positive. However, the food was far below expectations. The meat was particularly bad and lacked flavor. The cheese was drenched in oil, which made it greasy and unpleasant. To top it off, the Knafeh was not good at all; it didn’t taste well and wasn’t even close to the traditional version I was hoping for. I had high hopes for this new spot, but sadly, it did not live up to them. Won't be returning anytime soon.

Everything is normally good, just because there is fresh bread, those not mean we are there to eat bread. The beef shawarma portion very small. We had Turkish coffee, not good. Hope they can fix somethings.

Everything was amazing. The steak sticks, amazing chicken, zaatar, cheese flatbreads, everything was ❤️❤️ Also the sweets section is nice as well. We tried a couple of baklawahs. Staff was super nice.

I popped in because the place looked very polished from the parking lot. It was in the afternoon and I had some work to do. They have lots of booths and what looks like a wood oven pizza. Once inside I could also see there large assortment of pastries. They looked amazing, fresh and a great variety to choose from. I was also able to same some at the counter. I ordered a flat bread pizza with Steak, Mushrooms & Onions and it was truly melt In your mouth good! I was able to get some work done. Everyone who walked in had the same reaction. I wasn’t up to any pastries today but I’ll be back for those another day! I would have had a glass of wine but they don’t serve alcohol. I’m not sure if that’s because they just opened or if that’s going to be their plan moving forward. Either way, I’ll be back! I hope the word gets out because this place deserves to be in town and we deserve to have them. The prices are reasonable as well.

Food is excellent. Clean place. Service is still not at its best, I understand as it is new and staff may not be fully aware of customers behaviour. I didn’t like the wooden fork. Planning to go again next week.

It was a good place to try! The freshness of the different breads amazed me! We also tried the famous dips dish and all the dips were like home-made! However, they can still do better on the service and store organisation. At the end, we wanted to take home some pastries to gift some friends, and the entire process from waiting in the line, choosing the pastries, and then paying for it took us 40 mins!

Indeed very good food! Congratulations on the opening and coming to St Catharines. Went on their opening day.. and with the opening offer it just brought in a lot of chaos for the restaurant. People were confused for the lines, no real obvious instructions for the pastry side of the restaurant. The staff was exhausted by 5.30 pm. There was no good organized way for staff to remember who ordered what.. They should have two separate cash registers for the pastry side of the restaurant and for the bread side of the restaurant! I and wife waited 25 mins just to place an order on the pastry side of the restaurant. Got in the restaurant at 5.30, left at 7.30 pm.. I am sure they will do well on a regular day, once things stabilize. Hoping to edit and improve my review in my next experience. Wishing them all the best!
