I’m really disappointed by ordering food from this place. We ordered twice. At first., There was a small party around 10 people we ordered medium chicken biryani tray and small paneer biryani tray. When i asked they mentioned food is enough for 10 people .after i picked up morethan half of tray is masala and pieces for both of them and there was not enough rice. We have to look for rice in the tray🙄. I missed to take pictures on that day. And it was super frustrating for the food. Yesterday on dec 17th especially for my anniversary , we just want to give it try again as i called and particularly requested to them saying we don’t want more masala and pieces. Please see the pics posted.i ordered only 1 portion of paneer biryani for my veggie friends and morethan half of the box got masala and pieces. That guy mentioned its enough for 2 people. Who will eat masala alone.? We ordered gobi manchurian and we got long hair strands😩 . We are in north york and we took so much effort to get our food here for party. I don’t want to discuss about the money we spent on this. Lucky i ordered mutton biryani tray from vaikha Indian restaurant because I don’t want to believe completely on you guys. They are new and promising. Atleast non veg people are not disappointed.

Had chicken 65 and goat khorma. Meat quality and over all food quality is not up to the mark. Chicken 65 wet is very dry. Way to expensive compared to other restaurants. Goat meat was not tender enough. Quantity is less too. It costed above $40 for both the items.

My this visit was one of the best service I ever received. I was in rush and starving and i told Anurag that if he could please get us food quick. Trust me the food was there in 5 minutes. Anurag had a smile on his face and accepted all our requests. Kudos to such employees, who make the entire experience amazing! Now about the food ITS THE BEST! I dont need to talk about it at all just one words is enough AMAZING!

Most of the biryani varieties were done by 10 PM so we just tried chicken dum biryani. The restaurant has some authentic Hyderabadi food.

We went on Sunday afternoon around 4:30 pm (no lunch rush). 1. They pointed us to QR code for the menu, we request for physical copy.. Prices on the physical copy have not been updated and we were not informed.. only realised when the bill came.. 2. We waited 45min just for two biryanis.. Tables that came after us were already having food.. when enquired , they said due to confusion they packed them as to-go orders and asked us to wait another 5 min.. 3. The biryani was warm but the masala's were not mixed properly.. for the chicken biryani all the rice was just the top layer.. the only masala was the one sticking to the chicken piece.. I requested for med spicy , they gave me mild spicy.. I did not have the patience to wait another 10 min so just had what I got.. Also when water bottle became empty no one came to fill it.. overall food is okay but the experience was not great..

Charminar Indian Cuisine advertises itself as "Canada's Best Indian Restaurant," but my recent experience was deeply disappointing. I ordered the Goat Biryani, but what I got was essentially mutton curry with rice thrown on top—not biryani by any stretch. Despite requesting less masala, the dish was overwhelmingly oily and spicy. I’ve been a customer for over three years, and the quality has only declined. I’ve included pictures to show the excessive oil and masala, and how the biryani turned into a soggy mess after adding so much rice. These images speak louder than words and highlight how far they’ve missed the mark. If you’re looking for genuine Indian cuisine, this place falls short. Avoid it if you value authenticity and quality.

The quality of the food at Charminar is not worth the increased prices. I was very disappointed with the rude behavior of the staff. When offering good food, it’s important that the staff behaves politely. Even a small cup of extra raita was charged without informing us beforehand. Charminar was not like this before. I’m so disappointed that I’m not interested in visiting again. There are other restaurants in Scarborough offering much better food at a lower price.

Dear Charminar, Thanks for making our lunch time special. We ordered Goat Dum biryani, Mango Lassi and Rasmalai. Everything was good. ⚠️But $11.30 dollar for only ⛔️2 pieces of Rasmalai is too much. Please take care of the price for this item. Thank you.
