Charc Shawarma شاورما حطب و نار is a family owned restaurant bringing Syrian Mediterranean cuisine to your table. Being the only restaurant in Canada with authentic charcoal shawarma, we strive to satisfy the cravings of each and every one of our customers. Using unique signature spices, we offer a variety of chicken, mix of veal & lamb charcoal shawarma along with traditional chicken shawarma made on the grill.

The most underrated Shawarma place. I would say no one in Hamilton has yet to get the flavor of chicken as well as this place. Even if you ate your Shawarma later on after re heating the taste is one of a kind. Agree that the parking can be tricky but you gotta make it work for delicious food.

One of the best Shawarma I’ve had in the GTA. The charcoal beef and chicken are made on a special horizontal coal spit. The flavour was absolutely delicious and will now be my favourite in Hamilton.

I recently tried this shawarma spot, and while the food was decent, it wasn’t anything extraordinary. The flavors were fine but didn’t particularly stand out. The fires didn’t travel well and some of the meats were a bit on the salty side. On the plus side, the portion sizes were generous, which I appreciated. Overall, it’s a solid option if you’re looking for a filling meal, Definitely a try

This is my favorite restaurant all over Hamilton. We really were in need of an amazing restaurant in the area instead of keep driving all the way to mississauga. Keep it up guys. Food is amazing, I only know Ahmed, and he always surprise me with his awesome smile and customer service. All team is nice, food is so freaky delicious, fresh and they are so quick, so I decided to give 5 stars. Thank you guys for being here for us. ❤️

Not a fattoush salad, just a greasy bed of lettuce with fried pita chips. The bread that they used for the shawarma wrap was aaaamazing but sadly the chicken was sliced way too thin it was actually just the dry crunchy bits and no real chicken. Also way too much garlic mayo sauce I couldn’t even finish it. I would try again and ask for thicker sliced chicken and less sauce

The ambiance is like as if you are in a restaurant which is in Middle East. It takes you there once you enter. Food is of excellent quality/presentation/quantity. We got shawarma plate. I was looking for a charcoal Shawarma and my hunt is over. I went all the way from Toronto to Hamilton for this unique exclusive restaurant. It was all worth the drive and wait. I highly recommend Charc Shawarma for Middle East food lovers.

I'm not Middle Eastern by any stretch but as a resident foodie I do know Middle Eastern food pretty well. I've been frequenting various places for more than 30 years. Some of the first places that ever graced the Hamilton food scene. In fact way before Hamilton even had a food scene. The aroma from the charcoal fire was permeating the air while I was in the parking lot at Metro just down the street. I just knew that I had to try them. When I first walked in the place was full of folks from the Middle East which is always a great sign in my books. Honestly do you ever see true Italians dining in East Side Mario's? No, that's because it's not authentic. On the other hand this place is the real deal and is absolutely incredible. The flavours were fabulous. The portion sizes were insane and the prices amazing. The chicken which is charcoal fired and spiced just right is super tasty. The Fattoush Salad is one of the best I've ever had. The crunchy pickled veggies on the side of the dinner were a great addition. I've been searching for garlic sauce as good as another establishment that I used to hold in high regard. Well I finally found it and since I've had a falling out with that place Charc Shawarma is my new sweetheart. On top of all that the people were super friendly. When I witnessed the gentleman behind the counter hand the customer their order and then open the door for them because their hands were full it literally blew me away. I told my Syrian friend the other day about Charc Shawarma and she was blown away as well upon trying. This is it. Trust me on this one. This is the best Middle Eastern food in the city bar none. Try Charc Shawarma and I promise that you will not be disappointed.
