Deep-fried pork cutlet was perfect, super crispy and juicy 👍🏻 the best I’ve had in Toronto, milk tea was pretty good too. Attentive service, very helpful and friendly staff, highly recommend this place to cha chaan teng fans.

Warm and friendly service. Nicely decor little restaurant. Typical Hong Kong cha chaan teng Tea restaurant. Foods were good, excellent presentation. Tasted average, nothing stands out. Will return.

Cha Kee has become one of our go-to HK cafes in the area of Richmond Hill filled with many Asian restaurant options! Their signature baked pork chop rice has a brimming amount of meat atop plain egg fried rice. It’s a nice blend of crispiness & umami in each bite, although the tomato cheese sauce can be on the watery side. The other all-day meals we’ve tried include vermicelli with scrambled egg & toast, and tomato beef vermicelli. HK drinks are included in the meal (milk, coffee or lemon tea). Good affordable option for a quick bite.

One of my favorite Hong Kong-style restaurants. The food quality and taste are great—nothing to complain about! The only downside is that the restaurant is small, and there's often a long queue during peak hours. Still, it's worth the wait!

First time to come here for lunch on weekday. Ordered pork chop with spaghetti in black pepper sauce. The dish comes within 2-3 minutes after placed order. They basically put precook items on plate. The sauce is not even cover on top of the pork chop at all. Pork chop is already well seasoned and a bit salty to my taste. Restaurant is small and tables/seats are packed to each other. Anyway, if you want school cafeteria quality/speed/service, this may be fulfilled your need. But definitely not for me, as I rather go to FMP food court instead .

We visited Cha Kee restaurant in Richmond Hill and ordered the Curry beef and the signature baked pork chop with rice. The Curry beef was good, with decent pieces of tendon and brisket with potatoes, though the flavor didn't stand out for us, maybe our taste palette is on the heavier side. The signature baked pork chop with rice was enjoyable, particularly the crispy panko on the pork chop, but we found the tomato sauce lacking in flavor and could have more cheese for the price. The hot tea that came with the meal had a nice pull tea flavor. The Overall, the place felt a bit pricey for the portion sizes compared to other options. Overall Food : 5/10 Service : 7/10 Price : 2/10

Small modern decorated restaurant located in Jubilee Square. Great variety of breakfast, lunch and daily specials. Went with their Tuesday special, Signature baked Bolognese spaghetti w/ cheese (can substitute with rice) and tomato beef noodle soup. Good value as both dishes came with a drink choice (chose ice lemon tea) at no extra charge. Spaghetti was not overcooked, Bolognese sauce was meaty and clung to each spaghetti strand, could have used more cheese. Tomato beef soup was lacking in tomsto flavor, more small chopped tomatoes would have made a difference. Beef was tender but also lacking so the ratio of noodles to beef/tomatoes was off, found myself slurping more noodles in isolation due to the minimum amount of beef/tomatoes. I think it's still good value for your money, good variety of food selection and a nice clean modern casual setting for a quick bite, keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed.

A cozy, family run Hong Kong style cafe offering good, solid food that warped Yelp reviews did not give it justice! When I thought I had covered most, if not all, decent Hong Kong Style Cafe in my Richmond Hill neighborhood. A routine drive into the strip plaza on Beaver Creek/Highway #7, where Jim Chai Kee is located, revealed another obscured, potential candidate. The small, compact and cozy eatery offers a fairly compact and interesting menu to match. A young cheerful and friendly server took our order of the following homey, one plate meals: - Baked Luncheon Meat and Macaroni with Cheese and Creamy Tomato Sauce - Casserole of Baked Battered Fish Filet with Cheese and White Cream Sauce on Egg Fried Rice. - Satay Beef Slices and Scrambled Egg on Instant Noodles - Fried Chicken Wings with French Fries - Complimentary Hot or Cold Beverages. I am and always have been a fan of baked casserole dishes topped with creamy white sauce and as such, I always keep a watchful eye for good, stand-out ones. Today’s new find must be amongst one of my all time GTA favorites. Unlike some ‘ cut-corner ‘ starchy ones, ‘Cha-Kee’s’ creamy, velvety smooth version was packed full of buttery cream flavor coupled with a slight hint of welcoming ‘coconut‘ aroma and taste. The deeply flavored, tender Satay beef slices were a perfect match for the noodles, the delicate scrambled egg adding another intriguing dimension. Those piping hot, crunchy and tasty chicken wings were as good as it gets! Lip smacking good?...Finger licking good? ... .etc?? Take your pick?! For our choice of complimentary beverages. One of us decided to venture outside the box and ordered a weird ‘ Lemon with Ribena sparkling water ‘. A most intriguing combination and apparently a hot version was also being offered?! All in all, another great casual place with good food and friendly service for my collection of worthy food destinations.
