I recently attended a team Christmas party at C’est What in Toronto and had an amazing experience. The appetizers, including potato and vegetable fritters and nachos with salsa dip, were delicious and perfect for sharing. The highlight of my meal was the lamb burger, which was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The ambiance of the venue was warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a group gathering. We had a private space reserved, which added a nice touch of exclusivity to the event. The service was quick and efficient, and our server was incredibly friendly, ensuring that everyone was well taken care of throughout the evening. C’est What offers a great combination of good food, a cozy atmosphere, and attentive service. It’s a fantastic place for casual dining or hosting a special occasion. Highly recommended for a memorable experience in downtown Toronto!

One of my favorite bars for playing pool in Toronto. Service is fantastic. Beer selection is solid. They generally always play good music. The food is good - not great, I would avoid the burgers. Prices are reasonable. They have 3 pool tables that are in good condition. Prices for pool is very reasonable ($15 an hour). The fact the venue is in a basement and specifically is an old bar gives it a lot of character and a vibe without it being contrived. The staff take pride in their work. The servers are helpful and attentive without being annoying. The place doesn't attract an obnoxious bro crowd because it's not a sports bar and doesn't serve wings. Hell even the lighting isn't bad, some bars are too dark or too bright or too loud - C'est What is good in that regard. In my dream scenario they would have a fourth pool table because friends and I mainly come here to play pool. I have been going to C'est What for many many years and it's the kind of place I just hope won't change much ever. It's almost perfect just as it is.

Love the atmosphere, location, service and especially the meals. So pleased to have found this nice gem right downtown TO Walking distance from Union and to Scotiabank arena, get eats & libations before the Leafs game!

If you are looking for a bar with a wide variety of beers, wines, whiskeys and cocktails, this is definitely the place to go. The bar’s layout is incredible, with its entrance reminiscent of old English theaters and cinemas. The lounge has pool tables and board games. The bar area is pleasant and the baristas are great. They have a great menu, which goes well with many drink options. Unfortunately, the place is not accessible for disabled people (entry and exit with manual doors, use of stairs to enter and exit, and toilets without adaptations). It is located at several bus stops and close to the St Lawrence Market. It is well worth a visit.

Loved the food and ambiance of this pub! We had the bison burger and butter chicken on our visit, found both reasonably sized. The butter chicken seemed to be a bit of a fusion with other cuisines that worked well in taste! Will definitely visit again

One of my favourite bars in the city! Unassuming and easy to miss if walking by, but definitely worth a stop. They have a ton of beers on tap along with a good selection of cocktails and other craft cans/bottles. They have 3 pool tables which are pay by the minute and usually has a long wait on weekend evening, but aside from that they're usually available. While I mostly come here for drinks a pool, their food is delicious too! Typical items you'd expect from a pub menu but executed at a step above most others. Love the cozy environment, ample seating along with a fire place for those colder winter nights. Service is always friendly and attentive. Definitely a great date spot or to have some drinks with friends. Highly recommend!

Great vibes, great food, great beer. The food came quick and was delicious. The variety of cask and nitro ales is awesome and rare to find. Can't believe we've been in the city so many years and never knew about this place. Great basement pub vibes with pool, games, ok whisky selection, fireplace, variety of seating. Big fan, will be back!
