Centre Street Deli

It's not too often I visit deli's, but Centre Street Deli located in Thornhill was quite the experience. Our server was knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and although I didn't splurge on any deli sandwiches, I did enjoy a tasty breakfast meal that was cooked to perfection. Moderate table space, so I'd stay clear on busy weekends. Otherwise — a wonderful deli experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The smoked meat is always amazing. The fries and slaw are very good. The hot brisket is just roast beef. It’s not the kinda brisket from a smoke house. Atmosphere is kinda like a dated diner. This is the place to come for a great smoked meat sandwich

Food: Old fashioned sandwich was delicious. Rich without being too salty. I didn't feel like I craved water as I ate it. The (cold) beef tongue sandwich was mild but good. The medium has a bit of spam making the sandwich juicier and more fatty. Service: Great customer service. Friendly, patient service and attention. Accommodated requests with a smile and warm tone. Atmosphere: Warm temperature, comfortable, has booth seats, warm lighting, and felt like home.

you don't need to go to Montreal for the smoke meat anymore. 12pm, the restaurant is packed. Many purchased takeout as well. I ordered an old-fashioned smoke meat sandwich (you can choose lean or fatty meat). I chose lean meat, and it is soft. The lady offered me hot mustard, and it is wonderful. I ordered pickles as well, and it is just perfect with the sandwich.

A friend recommended that we try this place and we wish we’d discovered it sooner! Our server, Amanda, was super nice and helpful. We shared their Greek salad and a smoked meat platter with fries and coleslaw. Wow! So so so good! The smoked meat was juicy, fresh bread, and the salad was awesome, lots of feta! We will be back! Tip: we got there early, like 11:30 for lunch because we were in the area. But wow were we happy we got there that early because it got busy. Busy busy. Amazing food and lovely server! We will be back for sure 🥰

Brusque manager hostess. A bit rude to solo diners. Seat was not cleaned. Server was helpful with leftovers and takeout packaging. Line up at the one cash register to pay. Food is decent. Medium old fashioned was very lean, not fatty at all. To be honest, I wanted meat to be more juicy and flavourful like in past visits. Fries are always good. Lots of choices for mustard. Pickled red bell pepper and vinegar coleslaw and tiny dill pickle slice are tasty. But everything feels smaller and less exciting than before. Bathroom is not terrible. I was surprised how crowded the restaurant is at noon hour on a weekday. There was a lineup to be seated. I won't be rushing back. To be honest I can no longer recommend the old fashioned sandwich.

I've been coming here for years and they are alway serving consistently excellent food. The Old Fashioned Smoked Meat Sandwich is my favourite. Served with fresh cut delicious golden French fries, it's to die for. Last time I was there, Ingrid served us and she was super friendly and helpful. The matzo ball soup is also very good. Highly recommended.
