Cavallo Nero

Carvello Nero was an incredible collaborator for our New Year’s Eve-themed styled shoot at The Barracks Inn. From the moment we connected, their enthusiasm for being part of this local creative project was truly appreciated. I had the pleasure of trying their delicious pizza and absolutely decadent cheesecake, and both were unforgettable! The pizza was perfectly crafted, with rich, flavorful ingredients, and the cheesecake was the perfect indulgent treat to complete the experience. Beyond the amazing food, their service was equally impressive—warm, attentive, and professional. They went above and beyond to contribute to the success of the shoot, and their attention to detail and dedication really shone through. I’m so grateful to have had Carvello Nero involved in this collaboration. They were not only wonderful to work with but also brought such a special touch to the shoot. I can’t recommend them enough for anyone looking for exceptional food and service for their events or celebrations!

A nice pleasant casual atmosphere with good variety of Italian food. Unfortunately there were a few issues with the food. Mostly quite tasty but the lobster ravioli was way over salted and the branzino was over cooked and tough. The mushroom soup however was excellent! The staff were lovely and very attentive for sure!

I took my parents for dinner last night and we all loved it. The staff were super friendly, especially the hostess and our server Justin. I had the Branzino and I highly recommend it. My dad had the garden salad and potato leek soup, and my mom had the chicken parm. The serving sizes were very generous. We will definitely go back.

First time here and the service and food was amazing. Chicken parm, branzino and orzo pasta and my husband doesn’t eat much so he had garden salad and potato leek soup. We all enjoyed our very generous meals and our waiter Justin gave us great service . We will be back

We were asked at the door if we had reservations, which we didn’t. We went to this restaurant on a whim, they gladly seated us nonetheless. The food was absolutely fantastic, the service was excellent, the seating was nice - high wall booths so you felt like you could have a proper conversation, this restaurant checks all the boxes. I definitely recommend! My friend ordered the garden salad and I ordered the poached pear salad, hands down the best salad I’ve ever tasted, the pesto was incredible and the burrata (chefs kiss). We then each ordered a different pizza and both were fantastic! The piece de resistance was the dessert, carrot cake from a local bakery (Caniche) was so so good. Bill was a little higher, but totally worth it! Definitely Recommend!!!

The Braised Beef Ribs and Fried Burrata were outstanding. Slightly disappointed in the Lobster Ravioli, which seemed to be made from manufactured frozen ravioli. The taste was bland and the filling somewhat mushy. Delicious Apple Pie Cheesecake for dessert. Service was very warm and friendly.

We recently had both a dinner and a celebration of life event here at Cavallo Nero. Both visits were fantastic. Our first meal for four of us was great. We had a wonderful meal a got to meet the chef. Standouts for me were the Calamari, the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, the Braised Beef Short Rib and especially the Chicken Piccata. We were impressed enough with the meal, to have our celebration of life here. Although there were 30 of us, the manager, the chef and the servers navigated the evening perfectly. The food was tasty, hot and served in a timely manner. The chef even made our own menu for the evening. I have no problem recommending Cavallo Nero for anything from a quaint dinner to a smaller event for 30. Thank you again.
