I’ve never experienced such blatant disrespect at a restaurant. The waiter was not only rude but also showed clear preferential treatment to other guests based on their background. To make matters worse, he made a mistake by crossing off the wrong item from our order, and when we pointed it out, his response was dismissive and condescending. He even claimed we changed seats—despite having only four people at the table, which was completely untrue. To top it off, we overheard him trash-talking our table to another waiter in Italian. Although we don’t speak the language, it was clear from the tone and anger in his voice that he was speaking about us negatively because we can clearly here our order being apart of the conversation. Absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. On top of the awful service, they wanted to charge an 18% gratuity for using their own gift payment card. Why on earth would I tip for such a terrible experience? It’s clear this restaurant doesn’t value all its customers equally, and if you're not part of their "preferred" community, you’ll be treated poorly. I strongly advise avoiding this place if you're looking for a respectful dining experience. We couldn’t wait to pay and get out of the place. We went into there to celebrate a milestone, but absolutely ruined.

The staff stated it was their policy to serve bread only when food is ordered. **Questionable Service:** - Bread never arrived even after the order was placed and had to be specifically requested. - A waiter asked intrusive questions about a guest’s visible purse, seeming to assess their spending power. - When a guest requested a new straw, the waiter questioned why it was needed instead of simply providing one. **Prolonged Waiting Times:** - Meals took over an hour to arrive, despite another table receiving appetizers, entrees, desserts, and teas in the same timeframe. **Birthday Celebration Issues:** - A request for an additional candle was denied, with the waiter suggesting reusing the same one. **Billing Policy Change:** - The restaurant required all meals to be paid on a single bill, contrary to previous visits where splitting bills was allowed. Final Thoughts: While this restaurant has been a pleasant experience in the past, this visit was overshadowed by poor service, unreasonably long wait times, and unprofessional behavior from staff. These issues left a sour note on what should have been a joyful birthday celebration.

I recently visited Castello while in town with family, who had highly recommended it. The restaurant has been family-owned for generations and has just been passed down to the next generation, which is promising. Its location is convenient, easily accessible from the highway, and ideally situated for traffic. However, despite it being a Saturday night, the atmosphere felt surprisingly empty, with just a few tables occupied aside from a large reserved group. The service was somewhat lacking in professionalism. While the staff was eager to please, they missed several key details that one would expect at a fine dining establishment, such as presenting the wine bottle before pouring and serving water from unopened bottles. The prices certainly suggested fine dining, but the food did not match the expectations. Portions were on the small side, and the overall presentation felt more like what you'd find in a banquet hall rather than a refined restaurant. My wife found the grilled chicken breast excessively dry and inedible, while the charcuterie board, though decent, lacked the variety and quality we anticipated for the price. Overall, we left feeling disappointed and unlikely to return during future visits. I hope the management can address these issues, as my family mentioned that the restaurant had previously been much better. Given the price point, there are certainly many other dining options in the area that offer a superior experience.

The atmosphere is great, clean and well-organized, the food was just absolutely amazing! Went to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday with a large group. Our server Massimo did a great job serving a large table on his own, he was funny and personable. A top tier, stellar place to host any celebration or to go for an intimate dinner. My family was happy with the food and mentioned they would be back. Would definitely recommend over and over again!

We recently had dinner at Castello in Woodbridge, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The risotto was perfectly cooked—creamy, comforting, and just full of flavor. The meat lasagna was equally impressive, with just the right balance of cheese, sauce, and pasta. What made our visit truly memorable, however, was the service. Chief Camilo and our server Massimo went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and cared for. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality made our night. We can’t wait to return!

The best shower I have ever been to. Castello restaurant has set the bar extremely high for any bridal showers to come! I chose this restaurant for more than one reason. The decor was absolutely beautiful, the food is just incredible, and energy from the staff was always so happy and positive. What more could a bride want. Every request I asked for was happily accommodated. The menu was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Castello hosted for me our bridal shower which was also my Toronto bound wedding event . With 2 signature drinks ( alcoholic and non) , with decor and seating which made everyone feel involved. It was intimate . Josie and Patty were so amazing and patient making sure every little detail was met and mattered. My day was Perfect. The day of, Kevin and the entire staff made sure, I , as the bride , had no worry in the world. Every single second I took looking away or looking for something right away I was asked what I needed.. they did everything from beginning to end making the day so easy. It went by too fast. They even allowed me to play the music I wanted . Thank you ‘ My guests were extremely impressed with the entire menu, the service, quality of the food, quantity of the food, and even the fact that they had individual to go containers. I don’t know why anyone would choose to go anywhere else! Looking very forward to my next event.! Thank you FOR EVERYTHING !!! ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Our server was fantastic. Natalia took care of us all the way. Another great thing was that every employee who made eye contact with you smiled. I love that. The food was fresh, rmtasty, and so delicious. This was our first time, and we will definitely be back again and again. I loved the atmosphere. The washrooms were so clean and love all the mirrors!

Booked this restaurant on opentable and was pleasantly surprised. What a beautiful restaurant. The decor is elegant and perfect for any special occasion. The wait staff were helpful and eager to ensure our meal and overall experience was perfect. We couldn't decide what to order, so we ordered a bunch of entrees and appetizers to share. Every dish was delicious! Will definitely be back and highly recommended.
