Louie and John are the best I’ve been a customer here for the past 16 yrs, lots of love to the both of ya and keep up the good work,old school service and the best down home cooking, if your in the neighborhood swing by they do more than just fish and chip 🇬🇷🇬🇷👍❤️

The food is always good. My nan will order the food and the father, and son that run it, always seem to remember her and her order. If they aren't too busy then they'll talk with her for a minute or two which I appreciate. I then walk over to pay and pick up. She always has a good night after having their fish and chips. The shop is too small for many to dine in but they always remember their regulars and give them the respect that's given in turn. So if you like good food at a good price, good people with a good attitude and a nice place to take a break before going home from work then this place would work for you. Don't be shy, they love new people and their money so long as they're respectful.

John is a good man. Not only was he professional, the debit machine was down and I was 60 cents short cash and he was kind enough to to still provide me service. On top of this he even gave me a water bottle. Now that's quality service coupled with customer service. Best french fries in all of Durham. This is the spot.

Very tasty...batter was well seasoned and crispy, and fries were also crispy! Update....please be aware that the buy one get one halibut is really buy one at $11.95 (includes fish and chips) and you get one extra piece of fish for $6.95...no extra chips, so not a full second meal. Also, beware they charge an extra .45 cents for using debit, even if you're paying for over $15 worth of food. And, the last thing which was the most uncomfortable thing they automatically set the tip amount to 10%, for takeout, and if you're unaware, you get ding with this charge too. See receipt. I have not had this experience with takeout before.

I had an incredible experience at Captain Georges Fish and Chips, thanks to the kindness of one of the owners, John. From the moment I arrived, John's warm welcome made me feel like a valued guest. The fish and chips were outstanding, with perfectly cooked fish and crispy chips. Their attention to detail and dedication to quality were evident in every bite. This is the only place I'll eat fish and chips. I have been going to this store since I was at least 7 years old. I'm now 28, and especially on good Friday I'll always order my 2 piece halibut and chips. Never greasy, always delicious. Malt vinegar and tartar sauce. With a side of family love. The father and son that run this restaurant make this place feel like you are having a home cooked meal. I'll always be a returning customer. Thank you for always serving up the best fish 🐟 💕
