Great fresh seafood . I was very hungry but didn't want fast food. I was so happy to discover this wonderful place where they serve fresh seafood! The plate was cooked right to my tasting with everything I asked for. Super yummy! Super healthy! Super fresh!! Very kind and polite service, the owner is just the sweetest person with the most positive vibes! Loved everything!!

The owner is amazing, always makes people laugh and just genuine good energy. Good is great, seafood is super fresh, I saw him make the calamari from scratch. My favourite spot in the foodcourt

The guy is great! It was overwhelming to hear Azza was his wife’s name who passed away 5 years ago! May her soul rest in peace! The guy is the best chef 👩‍🍳 Great food and what a wonderful human being!

I liked this spot overall. I got a chance to get it today on my lunch break and I enjoyed it. As a student I was able to get a fish sandwich and fries for $11 which is a steal because the food was great. The guy running the place is a really nice guy as well, a bit of time spent waiting because he was the only one working there but the food is really good for mall court food.👍

The fish and chips is really good. It's never very busy, which I understand, because seafood in a food court? But don't let that stop you, everything here is solid. They may have been set up for more success if they opened as a standalone and not in a food court.

As the other reviews mentioned, there was one man running the place when we arrived at the food court. He was very friendly and we ended up ordering the tilapia sandwich and chicken sandwich with fries. The tilapia sandwich was absolutely delicious; the fish was cooked perfectly, and the sauces used in the sandwich tasted amazing. I intended to take it home to eat but devoured the entire thing after one bite in the car! The fries were thick and delicious as well. I didn't eat the chicken sandwich but apparently it was very good as well. Great food and experience all around and I definitely recommend.

Seems like a nice older man owning the place. Located inside the food court at Islington station. I got the halibut fish and chips. Portion size is pretty big. Made fresh and tasted great!

I have always passed by Captain Azza since I recently moved here, but never really tried it. Today I decided I wanted a nice cup of soup, and ordered the chicken gumbo. And I was completely blown away by the flavour! It had so much seasoning, depth, and seafood flavour, and it was not salty at all! I had a really nice conversation with the elderly gentleman who is the owner, and he explained to me the items on the menu that are made fresh to order. He even let me sample the seafood chowder, and the seafood bisque and they were both incredibly delicious! I will be sure to return more often to try the many other dishes on the menu. It is good to know that there is a nice, family-run restaurant in the Bloor Islington Place food court that offers something unique and different than the usual chain restaurants. Definitely would recommend!
