I recently visited this restaurant and enjoyed the food—the nasi lemak I ordered, which came with soup and a drink, was delicious and reasonably priced at $16 after tax. However, the service was unacceptable. Since there was no custom percentage option, I tipped $1, only for the waitress to complain that the minimum was 10% after I tapped my card. I was shocked but said I’d be more careful next time. What enraged me was when the staff forced my friend to “cover” my so-called lack of tip by making her tip 20% on her bill. This behavior is absurd and completely unprofessional, especially in Chinatown, where tipping isn’t generally expected. While the food was great, this experience left a terrible impression. Based on other reviews, it seems this has happened to many people. Management seriously needs to address this.

Food was great. Flavourful, fresh. Ordered beef steak with sauce on rice. And pork cutlet with gravy on rice. Both come as combos with soup of the day and coffee or tea. Reasonably priced.

The Asam Laksa is passable, tastes good and authentic...just hoping the broth was stronger The Nasi Lemak was alright as well but it was super super spicy even for a Malaysian XD The soup given with the Nasi Lemak is good too. The YinYong was meh.... Nice quiet place so you can enjoy a meal and chat. Would definitely revisit to try the other Malaysian food.

Good food but won’t be returning - waitress expected more than a 10% tip and made a complaint about it, demanding more. Ungrateful and entitled much? Go anywhere else in the world outside of North America and there are 0 tips and BETTER service. This is a casual cafe, not fine dining and there was barely any service as it is. Get over yourself lol

Nasi Lemak special comes with a small bowl of soup and a drink of your choice. The dish includes rice, spicy chicken, sambal (chilli sauce), egg, cucumber, peanuts, anchovies. The rice is dry and has only a barely noticeable hint of coconut; it couldn’t be called the real nasi lemak since it doesn’t have the rich coconut milk taste with the fragrant pandan leaf. The super hard boiled egg is only slightly fried. Although a little dry and tough, the spicy chicken tastes good. The sambal has a good kick and might be too spicy for those who don’t eat spicy food.

- Hainanese Chicken Rice: Rice wasn't very fragrant with the chicken fat, but there was some salty sauce on the bottom. The bok choy and broccoli are decent, but the chicken was a little dry. The ginger onion dip was on the salty side. -Char Kuey Teow: Lots of wok hei and fragrance, with bean sprouts, two types of noodles and some chicharron for added texture. -Nasi Lemak: comes with rice cooked with coconut, sambal was spicy, salty, chili fragrant. Chicken was sometimes tough on the outside and dry. Eggs were nice, and the fried anchovies and peanuts were a good addition. Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts!

Today, I went to try their baked porkchop tomato with rice. I would say this is the best I had. I highly recommend it. I would go back for more. Good quality food. Taste good. Nasi Lemak is spicy. Wow.

(CASH ONLY) Cool spot! Actually directly inside Dragon City Mall. Great, decently priced Hong Kong eats. Not as greasy as the photos look, so the little extra price over other spots is worth it. Each of us tried 1 thing at random and each one was good for the price! I'd say check this out.
