Canteen - Punjabi Restaurant

I had an amazing experience at Canteen! Even though they were about to close, the staff went above and beyond to serve us. They kindly made sure we had everything we needed and didn't rush us, which made our meal even more enjoyable. It's rare to see such great customer service, and it really shows how much they care about their guests. The food was delicious as always, and I truly appreciate them going the extra mile. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for both great food and outstanding service!

I placed an order with Uber eats - Veg Briyani. They have packed the very old food. It smelled bad when I opened the box. First of all it didnt taste like a Briyani at all. It looked like they mixed all the veg curries into rice and packed it.. Food had a bad order.. I threw the food in the garbage. I buy from this store time to time. I have to say that sometimes it tastes great and sometimes it's garbage. I wonder howmany cooks they have and why they can't give the same quality food..

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!! Ordered Pavbhaji, Chhole Bhature & Paneer Tikka Wraps and none of them were on the point!! I could also see that they haven’t done any preparations for the dishes we ordered. Had to wait for more than 20 minutes to get the food and still no better outcome. Firstly we got Chhole Bhature and Pavbhaji. Talking about Chhole, gravy wasn’t on point and prepared without any seasoning at all!!! About Pavbhaji, it didn’t even taste like a pavbhaji ( I mean how badly can you screw a Pavbhaji!!) and vegetables weren’t not mashed too!! After waiting for another 5 minutes, we got Paneer Tikka Wrap. And what should I not say about it…. Paneer wasn’t neither marinated nor grilled (clearly visible in the picture). For the wrap, they were using tortilla sheets!!! Sauce wasn’t there too and it was so liquidy and thin that it was dripping off the wrap. Last but not least, they didn’t even know how to wrap a wrap with the foil!!!!🤣🤣 Being an Indian, I personally feel so ashamed for this kinda restaurants serving an Indian cuisine like these!! Never ever go to such places if you want to try an Indian food for the first time and if you’re an Indian then don’t forget to put the same review as I did. Lol

Really bad experience bought 1/2 kg Chk. Biryani. Chicken wasn’t even throughly cooked. Never .All they do is cook chicken in the sauce and put it on the rice.

When I ordered 1kg of biryani. It was like only 0.5 kg and on top of that the quantity of meat were so less. Before this new owner It used cost to me 15 dollars for 1 kg now it’s 20. The previous owners were good they used give lot more of briyani in quantity and meats too were provided sufficiently. Now the new owners are a bit stingy. Hopefully they will make their customers smile. Best of luck new owners. I don’t think I will be back soon like past days.

I caught the young brother as he was just opening his store and i wish i had more time to wait for everything to be prepared. I really wanted to have some roti or pratha with my meal but as they make everything from scratch the day of, it would have taken an hour to prep for those side dishes. I was on a short lunch break and he accommodated me very well by serving me the most delicious goat biryani that i have had in a long time. I was craving this for a long time and hit the spot. i will definetly be coming back with my wife as i know she will love to have something that reminds her of back home. i highly recommend this location to anyone passing by, the flavors are amazing!
