I ordered the classic bánh mì and an iced bạc xỉu for dinner on Skip The Dishes. The iced bạc xỉu was delicious—rich, aromatic, and creamy with just the right sweetness at 50%. The classic bánh mì was crispy, many places skimp on the butter, pâté, or meat, they got the ratios right. The only thing I would like to see added is more traditional cuts of ham and the cucumber, daikon and chili on the side. I’ll be back to try the Bún Bò Huế sometime!

One of the best Vietnamese in Toronto, worth the wait! Its operated by two sisters who are extremely kind and welcoming! The Bun Bu Huo is to die for!

Food was fantastic but service was a little slow. Had the Biscoff Viet Latte and grilled pork banh mi for a late lunch today. Definitely will go back to try other items on this menu.

We had the bun Bo hue, pho dac biet and Vietnamese salt coffee. Authentic Saigon style Vietnamese food - what a great addition to the neighbourhood! Another time when we dropped by we had a mango coconut slushy which was fantastic and not too sweet. All the food here takes us back to our travels in Vietnam.

Very happy to have tried Cafe Xin Chao today. I had the classic banh mi and the Vietnamese coffee. Both were amazing. They are very generous with the pate on the sandwich, and the bread was nicely toasted (which I’ve found is not common at banh mi shops). The service is also wonderful. The owners are very kind and eager to share information about the menu if you ask. I will definitely be back. Thank you!

this is a fantastic Vietnamese cafe that serves authentic south vietnamese Banh-mi, Pho, vermicelli and fresh drinks. The staff are from Vietnam, are very friendly and work very hard to ensure a great experience. A very welcome addition to the Leslieville neighbourhood, I personally plan to share this with friends and family in support of local entrepreneurial business vs big business franchise’s. - —— Lucky Lee

Ordered the chicken vermicelli and pho to try, the portion sizes to the price is reasonable and we liked the food. It just newly opened so they are doing a bogo for all their coffee drinks which taste very good, definitely recommend.

Classic Banh Mi - Baguette isn't very crispy, but has a subtle bready aroma. Cucumbers are slightly crisp and fresh, along with the cilantro. Pickled carrots are sliced more finely and are sweeter than normal. Comes with two types of cold cuts, normal quality. Housemade butter/mayo is fragrant, smooth and light, and portions are just right to not be overwhelming but provide a rich undertone. Housemade pate is strong in umami and aromatic, with a creamy texture and a hint of liver iron taste characteristic of pate, and is tastier than Nguyen Huong. Cafe Sua Da - Characteristic taste, but a bit on the creamy and sweet side for me, and lacking some coffee fragrance.
