We visited this bustling cafeteria and waited 20 minutes because it was packed, but it was absolutely worth it. The food was DELICIOUS, the service was great, and the atmosphere was lovely. We tried the hummus, the chicken sandwich, and the shakshuka.

If you're vegetarian or vegan, you need to try this place. I had a vegan shawarma on focaccia and it was exceptional. I was full by the time I got half way through but I couldn't stop eating it until it was done, that's how good it was. The bread was fresh and the tvp chunks were soft but still substantial. It's definitely a dish that two people could easily share and feel satisfied. We were served by a few people and each one was cheerful and helpful. I told one of them that I had never seen wait staff so genuinely happy and she said that it's because the owners create an atmosphere that encourages team work among staff, and it showed. There's nothing better than eating great food served by genuinely cheerful staff.

I visit here once every month for their breakfast or smoothie menu. The cafe has a vintage diner vibe. Highly recommend their acai bowl and challah bread. Good customer service and very attentive.

Cafe Landwer, conveniently located on the southeast side of Bloor and Yonge near the Bloor TTC stop, is an inviting spot perfect for a cozy meal or coffee break. The space is bright and airy, with large windows offering plenty of natural light and a patio for outdoor dining on pleasant days. The atmosphere strikes a balance between bustling energy and comfort, making it an enjoyable place to relax or catch up with friends. The menu is a delightful blend of Mediterranean flavors, catering to various preferences with vegan and gluten-free options. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner, there’s something to satisfy every craving. I tried their signature shakshuka, accompanied by freshly baked pita bread and a crisp, vibrant salad. Every bite was a testament to the quality and care put into their dishes. To complement the meal, I indulged in their Sahlep drink, a warm and fragrant winter treat made from orchid tuber flour—an absolute must-try. Despite the steady stream of diners, the service was quick and attentive. The efficient booking system at the entrance ensured a short wait, even during peak hours. With its reasonable prices and high-quality offerings, Landwer Cafe is a place I look forward to visiting again soon.

Café Landwer is a delightful spot that perfectly balances great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and an unbeatable location. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the beauty of the café. The décor is modern yet cozy, with well-thought-out details that make the indoor space inviting. What truly sets this café apart, however, is its outdoor seating area. With a spectacular view of the downtown skyline, it’s the ideal place to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, or share a meal with friends. The outdoor seating not only provides a peaceful escape but also elevates the overall dining experience, making it feel special and unique. The staff deserves a special mention for their friendly and attentive service. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, adding a personal touch that made me feel welcomed and cared for. Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to work, a charming location for a casual meeting, or simply a place to enjoy good food and stunning views, Café Landwer delivers on all fronts. The combination of its beautiful setting, excellent service, and unique outdoor experience makes it a must-visit destination.

Great place for lunch in Yorkvillearea, diners type. Fairly busy on lunch hours or weekends, but to their credit, the food is generous in portions and well priced. Good to have a family type restaurant, unpretentious, warm, welcoming. We had shakshukas, both served piping hot, with multi grain bread. The bread was soft, freshly baked, and so delicious! Sinia Shakshuka was tasty with tomatoes, eggplants, beef. The coffee too, was lovely. Everything was great. I love the diner's decors and atmosphere. Overall I'm glad there's a landwer in the neighborhood!

The restaurant had a beautiful interior and patio, but the food was a letdown. My chicken salad had overcooked, dry chicken, and my friend's kebab was under-seasoned. Another friend's roast beef sandwich 's bread is extremely saggy and chewy, which is supposed to be crispy and freshly made. Service was inattentive, and we barely got refills. We tipped 15% out of politeness, but honestly, it wasn't deserved. The food was overpriced for the quality, and the service lacked professionalism. It's a shame, given the lovely location.

Great find in this part of town. Really attentive and helpful service (but not over the top or intrusive), interesting menu (that tasted great) and generally an excellent vibe/atmosphere to the place. Clean and classy, if we were staying in Toronto any longer we would definitely come back. Menu prices seem fair standard too, so not overly expensive. See the accompanying pic for the coffee competition the server mentioned was ongoing (note that he ends up with a 5-O'clock shadow and beard eventually 😜) . Overall, a great place for breakfast or brunch.
