Cactus Club Cafe First Canadian Place

Great food, large portions for main and appetizers. Their truffle fries aren’t as good but still tasted good. I was however disappointed on the service. We came for a friend’s birthday and reserved a table for 9 people. We were placed and forced to squeeze everyone at a table for 6. Worst experience I’ve had at such restaurants. Will not be coming back.

Very nice Restaurant. Beautiful place and atmosphere. The food was delicious and the place felt high-end. The service was amazing, the drinks and the food were great. Will definitely be back. I highly recommend to make a reservation as it was crowded when we arrived at 7.30pm and also when we left people were waiting outside.

Cactus Club will always be my favorite! Every dish I try is consistently delicious, and their drinks are top-tier. Happy hour is definitely a must-try, offering great deals on some of their best items. Special shoutout to their Peach Bellini, Salmon aburi roll, Prawn Butternut squash ravioli, and the new frappe drink—they’re all incredible! I’ll always jump at the chance to visit, and I’d never say no to anyone bringing me here. Cactus Club truly feels like a dream dining experience every single time. Can’t wait for my next visit!

I made a reservation to celebrate my mom’s birthday and the staff went above and beyond. Food was absolutely amazing. My steak was a little overdone for my liking and they were extremely fast in sending me one more to my liking and even gave me a complementary salad. It had indicated that it was my mom’s birthday when making the reservation and they sent us dessert! We had the Steak Creole + Prawns and the Lobster + Steak. A couple of Bellinis and Sangria and their amazing dessert. Thank you again for making my mom’s birthday so nice.

We came here for a weekday dinner and the rooftop patio was packed and the waiting time was more than an hour. We were lucky we had made a reservation in advance. Even with that, we waited for 10-15 minutes for our table to get ready. I strongly recommend to make a reservation for patio or lounge, to skip the line. The vibe on the rooftop patio was amazing; so vibrant. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered “Baja Fish Taco”, “Tuna Poke Bowl”, “Avocado Kale Salad with Salmon” and “Truffle Parmesan Chicken”. Our food was delicious and fresh. Our favorite was Avocado Kale Salad.

I had heard so many good things about this place and it did not disappoint at all. I made a reservation here for a surprise birthday dinner for my husband. We loved every bit of the experience. The ambience was amazing. We got a patio table so we could also enjoy the street view. The food was excellent and innovative. Loved their crispy tofu lettuce wraps. Perfectly seasoned and crunchy with fresh and juicy lettuce. We also got chicken tacos and they were pretty good too. We also ordered their pasta which I found okay-ish and their red thai curry was just 🤌🏻, every bite was a burst of flavours. And then for the perfect touch, the staff surprised us with a blue berry crème brûlée for my husband. The staff was polite and friendly too.

I recently dined at Cactus Club Cafe at First Canadian Place on August 21, and overall, it was a great experience! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, perfect for a mid-week dinner. The service was prompt and friendly, with the staff making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. The food was delicious; I particularly enjoyed the Butternut Squash Ravioli. The portion sizes were just right, and everything was presented beautifully. My only slight critique would be that the noise level was a bit high, which made conversation a little challenging at times. However, it didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. I look forward to returning and trying more dishes on the menu. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Cactus Club always has great food. I have never eaten food here and felt disappointed. You can tell they hire good chefs and care about what they put out. Service is usually quite good. The only exception is this location is in the heart of the financial district and can get quite crowded during the week which can affect service. Also there is construction happening outside during the week so the outside patio may get loud at that time. Going earlier on a Saturday or Sunday for lunch would be recommended if you want to enjoy the atmosphere and it being a little quieter. This is also more on the higher mid price range. However considering the cost and quality of other places it’s worth the price. My latest visit was for the end of summerlicious and we got a 3 course meal for $41.00. Which I think is a steal. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the cocktails were tasty as well. Our sever was also very attentive. Easily 5/5.
