We just had an amazing dinner here. Atmosphere is great. The service was perfect - the waiter come to check on us frequently and make sure to add water, change plates and utensils, and respond to any requests on timely matter. The food was exquisite. The lamb pide was one of the best lamb we've had in a long time. The hummus was so fresh. The beef kebab was impressively tender considered it's cooked to well done. We will definitely come back in the future to try the signature lamb shoulder.

This was my sixth time at Byblos, and I’m happy to say the food continues to impress. The flavors are always spot-on, with standout dishes like the hummus, Brussels sprouts, Turkish dumplings, and branzino. Each of these is fresh, flavorful, and my go-to favorites. The jasmine rice didn’t quite hit the mark for me—it felt a bit heavy and sweet, but I will say it was still fresh. The drinks, while tasty, didn’t feel particularly special. We visited for our anniversary, and the highlight of the evening was the chocolate olive oil cake—absolutely delicious. While portions are on the smaller side, this actually allows you to sample a variety of dishes, which I enjoy. All in all, another wonderful experience. I'll definitely be back!

First time at the restaurant although I've known about it for a while. Dishes were expensive but the food did not disappoint. Every dish we ordered was great. Flavourful but not overwhelmingly spicy or salty. The host was polite and friendly. I've heard people had issues with the staff but we did not. We arrived very early for our reservation so the host offered us to sit at the bar until our table was ready. Bartender was polite. Ordered an Old Fashion and it was great. Also had a non-alcoholic Mediterranean Mule which was nice too. Foodwise we had Fried eggplant, labneh, lamb rack, truffles rice, wagyu pide, short rib kebab. All super tasty. The short ribs kebab portion was rather small though. Dessert the honey ice cream was superb, olive oil chocolate and the lemon cake were pretty good as well. I can occasionally smell bleach in the restaurant, so perhaps they are super careful with wiping down tables for cleanliness. Will return.

Oh Byblos, Byblos, Byblos, how I want to give you five stars, but I cannot. You’ve been a fantastic restaurant providing some really romantic dates with arguably even better bites. From the delicious Branzino which showed my girlfriend fish can in fact be tasty, to the Turkish manti dumplings with their soft sweetness and explosive flavours, to the short rib kebab which was cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully, to the highlight of every meal, the black truffle pide; one of the best bites available in Toronto coating the mouth in delicious cheese and truffle flavour. So after all of this Byblos, why? Why did you make the lamb shoulder dish? A salty and overwhelmingly meaty dish, with insulting paper-thin dough things that you refer to as pitas, the sauces also are not innocent, being mediocre at their most tasty. For the great times we’ve had together I want to give you a five, you’ve really given me some of the best eating experiences I had in this city, but I cannot forgive you for the lamb shoulder. Irregardless, highly recommend coming to Byblos for a romantic date with your significant other and ordering my recommended dishes, you will enjoy! But yeah do not get the lamb shoulder and the insult they call pitas.

My partner and I visited Byblos a few days ago. The food was tasty—I ordered the stuffed eggplant, which I found a bit small, and a side of cauliflower. My partner had the lamb dish. The service was decent overall, but unfortunately, they didn’t have any cider. I was also a bit surprised to see a charge for the hot sauce. While it’s not a big deal, I wasn’t informed that there would be an extra charge, and to be honest, it tasted just like Tabasco. It felt a little sneaky and didn’t come across as very hospitable.

Came for a dinner with friends, I thought the food had great flavour and restaurant had a nice atmosphere, but a bit pricey for the portion sizes. We started with the hummus and yogurt dip, both were good with the bread, I might just do the hummus next time as many of the dishes come with a yogurt dip. For the appetizers the fried eggplant was our favourite, the manti/dumplings were great as well. We also enjoyed the fried chicken as the main, I thought the drinks were average. Service was friendly, restaurant entrance is a bit hard to find. If you're coming for a bday, there's a $5/person fee if you'd like to have your own cake.

Had a really great experience here a few nights ago. The seating and atmosphere is very nice. Our server made great recommendations based on what we were looking for and the amount of people we were with, everything is shareable. Fried eggplant, beef tartare, shrimp and the hot honey fried chicken were amazing.
