Went here for the first time while out shopping in Ancaster during the holidays. Seating/dining area is very spacious and clean, decor is so cute and very Scottish! I got the Butties Big Canadian Breakfast (pictured) and it was amazing! HUGE portions, so reasonable prices. My boyfriend got the haggis eggs benedict breakfast and he enjoyed it. Service was very fast and friendly/attentive. Nice little grocery/deli area inside too. Would go here again and pick up some baked goods (sausage rolls and hand pies)! Thanks again!!

Great place for breakfast & lunch! Food was awesome and the staff were very friendly, highly recommend! The breakfast sandwich’s were loaded with meat and cooked fresh to order 👍

We recently visited Butties for brunch. The staff were incredibly welcoming, especially considering our four kids. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, with an open kitchen. Orders were taken promptly, and food was absolutely delicious.

Best English breakfast I've ever had (although I don't consider myself an expert)! Casual, friendly restaurant with lots of variety of pies, sausage rolls, and some British snacks and treats to purchase.

A little bit of Scotland hits the spot. Lee and staff made us feel welcomed and at home sharing the memories of their Scottish homeland. Tatie scones were yummy, hollandaise was perfection. Tasted haggis for the first time and was pleasantly pleased. Thank you for a great start to our road trip with our belles full.

Found Butties by fluke while driving through on a road trip. Would recommend this place. Lee is passionate and the spirit of Scotland comes through in his service and food. Best hollandaise sauce I’ve had and this first time haggis eater is pleasantly surprised how good it is. It was worth the drive. Eat haggis and ceilidh 🏴😊🏴

Scottish Breakfast in Ancaster I recently had the pleasure of visiting a new breakfast restaurant that claims to offer authentic Scottish cuisine. From the outside, the place appeared quite small, but to my surprise, it had ample seating space inside. As someone who has been to Scotland and lived in the UK for a considerable time, I found the experience to be fairly close to the real deal. The portions served at the restaurant were satisfying, and irrespective of whether the dishes were Scottish or not, the food was good. My 8-year-old child particularly enjoyed the pancakes from the kids' menu which is rare :-). It's worth noting that they offer haggis and black pudding, which are traditional Scottish delicacies. While the haggis was decent, I personally didn't appreciate the texture of the black pudding. However, if you're fond of it or curious to try, I would recommend giving it a shot. Be sure you know the ingredients. On a busy Saturday morning, the service was impressively quick, and the staff served the food with a friendly smile. The restaurant had limited parking, and the washroom facilities were clean and well-maintained. Now, let's address the question of whether I would return to this establishment. Considering the price point, which amounted to $68 for two adults and a child, including a 15% tip, I must say it's high but on par with other places in the area. Therefore, I wouldn't single them out for that reason. However, if you're looking for a great breakfast experience, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. It's also worth mentioning that they offer a lunch menu, so be sure to check it out online. In conclusion, if you're in search of an authentic Scottish breakfast experience, this restaurant is worth a try. While the prices may be high, but are comparable to other establishments, the quality of the food, quick service, and overall ambiance make it a delightful choice.

Great place with an authentic Scottish breakfast on the menu. Staff were extremely nice and welcoming and made sure are coffees were topped up and everything was ok. The place was very bright and clean. Nice little selection of meat pies and sausage rolls as well as homemade baked goods and Scottish tablet for take-out.
