Over priced. Over rated. The food needs more attention. A good restaurant if you choose to be outdoor in their huge open patio when weather allows. Limited indoor seating.

Tried for the first time tonight. I order over the phone as my meal was to go. The hostess was very helpful and detailed. Took all my restrictions into consideration and had suggestions to provide. The fried steak was tender and Mac n cheese flavourful. The salmon was fresh and paired well with hush puppies ! I love that. It was an experience. Super happy I came and will be back again! When to Butchie’s last night for first time. Nice place, great food. The restaurant has very little seating and is mostly a takeout place. The pulled pork sandwich was fantastic, moist and with that great Cole slaw. The chicken fried steak was huge and did not disappoint The wings were out of this world good. Huge, juicy and delicious. Will go again for sure

I've been here twice, and it was great both times. I ordered the same sides each time but different mains. In short, great food, friendly service, and the seemingly endless combination of mains and sides will never leave you lacking (always get the hush puppies though). It may be on the pricy side for some, but by no means does that not mean you aren't getting good value on account of how the food tastes. Visit 1 - Nashville hot chicken sandwich with cucumber salad, hush puppies, and mac n cheese. The hush puppies were the star of the show for me. They are super flavourful and the sauce they come with takes them over the top. The cucumber salad was also very refreshing as it was a particularly hot day. The mac n cheese was good but not necessarily great. As for the sandwich, you could tell it was a good piece of meat. It had a good crunch and if you like spice this will hit the spot. The only flaw is that the sandwich is very messy. The sauce on the chicken and coleslaw topping made for a very drippy mess and requires all the napkins you can get your hands on. Visit 2 - Buttermilk fried chicken fingers with Alabama white sauce, hush puppies, cucumber salad, and mac n cheese. Hush puppies were great once again, and I will never not be ordering these. The mac n cheese also impressed me more this time around. It felt more cheesy and creamy to me and the breadcrumb topping stood out more this time around. Cucumber salad was one again very refreshing. Finally, I liked the chicken fingers much more than the sandwich. The portion was better than I expected and the coating was well seasoned with the perfect crunch to boot. The Alabama white sauce also added a nice punch of flavour. Overall, I preferred the food during this visit over my first (and the first was still very good!).

Butchie’s was strongly recommended to me and my first experience didn’t disappoint! We arrived on a Sunday at 12:30pm and waited around 20 minutes for our food. Staff were extremely friendly, seating areas were clean. It was an overall fun eating experience for me - jumping between eating my main and the two or three sides. The star of the show for me were all of the sides. They were all delicious: green beans, hush puppies, house salad, Mac and cheese, and cucumber salad. My favourite were the green beans and Mac and cheese.

Loved this place! The server was super helpful with my indecisiveness. She asked the right questions to help me order. The patio is super cute and tableside service is a bonus. Was already loving the place then the food came and it was delicious. I tried the smoked pork shoulder with 2 sides. The sweet potatoes and broccoli salad. Everything was great. Good sized portions. And the horseradish aioli is a must. Will definitely go again. And loved it even more when I learned it's a woman owned business. 💕

Plenty of options, photos attached show a great selection of main and side options, even the pickiest eater should be able to find something… milkshakes were good, flavourful but not super thick, portions were fair but not giant, everything has great taste and flavour… you order and purchase, the mostly helpful but not overly enthusiastic person takes your order, you are given a number, you can eat in or sit on the pretty giant fenced in patio, with music not to too loud, there seemed to be an overflow area as well or maybe somewhere for those with pets… the staff bring your orders to your table, we gave up trying to get their attention for water or pop refills (it was not crazy busy, barely busy), we got our own take out containers. The atmosphere, tastes and sounds made the experience pretty decent… the Hush Puppies & dipping sauce, were as good as any you might find in the Carolina’s certainly, worth using a side chit for (there are only three, don’t plan on sharing if you are a HP fan)… getting into the parking lot was easy off the street. If you are in Whitby or passing by, Butchie’s is about 10 minutes off the 401, worth the detour.

Food is great here. The portions are good and it tastes like everything is cooked fresh. I had a large house salad with added pulled chicken and it was amazing and big. I hope they don’t change anything about it. The pulled chicken was some of the best I’ve had. Some nights especially on weekends it can be very busy. Prepare to call ahead an hour before pickup. Good service here the employees are nice and you can tell it’s family run. Lots of kids and families here, lots of space outside to sit on picnic tables.
