Sorry, I can't bring myself to like this stink bug in my food.

A great place do eat, with freshly cooked food, and is a bit Harry Potter themed place(like the great hall). Would love to come again with friends!!

Best cafeteria breakfast food in Toronto. Best cafeteria ambiance anywhere. Book your next conference at UofT just to let your millennial staff eat their meals feeling like Harry Potter.

The Burwash Dining Hall motto is probably "quantity over quality", they have a wide selection and variety of food, but the quality just isn't there. The dining hall itself has nice decor, although the chairs are a bit heavy. The main issue is the cleanliness of the utensils. Many times I found forks and knives with food stains as well as trays and plates that are not dried properly. The food served is your typical cafeteria food. Never come for breakfast: the bacon and sausages are way too oily, the scrambled eggs are runny, and the potatoes taste frozen. As for lunch and dinner, the meats are dry and the food is sometimes tasteless. Also the iced tea is pretty disgusting. It's probably mixed from a powder so sometimes it's way too sweet and sometimes it tastes like sour water, I do like their soups though.

Burwash Dining Hall is hit or miss, but mostly misses, they fail to execute on making the simplest things. Such as the white rice, something as simple as rice they manage to screw up, by letting the rice get hard and dry. Despite saying that it promotes healthy eating, eating at Burwash is anything but healthy, to satisfy the large amount of students Burwash places a lot of junk food and does not have a large selection of fulling food. Burwash is decent at the simple stuff, large drink selection, salad bar, but it's hard to mess those up. I think they don't wash the fruit, the apples still had stickers on them and the bean sprouts I ate to accompany my noodles tasted unwashed. The silverware you can tell is washed quickly, some of the trays and dishes are not even dried before placing them for students to pick up. For the more complex food it is often times is terrible but once in a while they produce something great, but you never know what you will get, sometimes they make a decent scramble egg, other times it is super watery. The staff is friendly but the food quality is atrocious. The hours are also a pain, opening to 7:30 sometimes I have class and unable to eat before hand. Burwash could be pretty decent if you plan ahead, ignore the nights with food you don't like. All you can eat is pretty good if you have a big appetite.

Both Burwash dining Hall and the Great Hall in the Harry Potter movies were modelled after the Hall in Christ Church, Oxford. You definitely feel like you're at Hogwarts!
