Tucked away in a quaint plaza in Etobicoke, Buon Giorno Café is a delightful spot if you’re in the mood for an authentic veal on a bun. The owners are from Naples, bringing a touch of genuine Italian flair to their dishes. Today, I opted for their chicken on a bun, and it was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint at all! The sandwiches here are generously sized, easily enough to satisfy two. I highly recommend giving Buon Giorno Café a try; just make sure to bring your appetite!

I just moved to the area recently and have had incredible luck with business choices recently - here's another one. I stumbled upon Buon Giorno's incredible sandwich shop today and I have to say these are the best sandwiches I've ever tasted. For me it's the bread, if you can't get that right then the sandwich is a complete waste of time and effort. Not only is the bread fantastic - all of the ingredients fall in line too. You may think pricey ($15) - but these are monster handhelds - huge is an understatement. The Official Website pics don't to this place justice - I've included the real deal below. I would suggest they come out with a half size for 10 bucks. All kinds of other great eats here too that I need to try. Be back soon.

First time here! I've heard so much about their cold cut sandwiches. So I got the Hot Pig. Everything freshly sliced in front of you. Wow, what a sandwich! Looks good and tasty. A hidden gem of a place for the best Italian sandwiches at prepandemic prices. I’ve been two days in a row, and will likely visit again tomorrow since I’m working in the area. The Joey D sandwich (named after the owner) can feed two, filled with very generous amounts of mortadella, salami and capicola, sliced on demand. Bread is perfect, crusty but soft, I ordered two days in a row to bring back to the family. With a bit of spice and tang from the muffuletta, provolone, lettuce and tomato, it’s the most perfect sandwich. Fresh, made to order, call ahead for pickup if you don’t want to wait. Came back second day for more Joey D’s but also tried their lasagna. Multi-thin layers of noodles that gave way nicely when cut with a fork, it’s a beautiful thing smothered in their delicious meat sauce, I like it better than lasagnas from other establishments that charge $30/plate. This place isn’t fancy, it’s good honest home cooking, takeout joint in a strip plaza with a picnic table outside. Made-to-order hot and cold sandwiches, pizza, and a fabulous hot table that I can’t wait to revisit. Veal sandwiches are next on my list! They close early so check hours before heading out. Update: Visited on a Friday to discover their focaccia sandwiches (only on Fridays) and fried calamari & shrimp…OMG!

Came in right before closing, store owner is very friendly and awesome all around. We got Joey Ds special and it’s an amazing sandwich! Deli sliced to order and atmosphere was great. 10/10 and definitely coming back. I mean..LOOK AT THE AMOUNT OF MEAT IN THE SANDWICH!!

Had an amazing experience at Buon Giorno Cafe today. Was a little worried over the long line up during lunch, but it moved quickly and efficiently. I counted 12 people ahead of me but was served within 15 minutes. I ordered a veal sandwich and a deli sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious. Heaps of meat and toppings. Some of the best sandwiches that I’ve had in this city.
