Bun Saigon Vietnamese Restaurant

Family owned Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown. Employees interacted with us minimally, remaining silent almost the entire time. Had pho ga, very little chicken and a bit stale. Broth was not too flavourful. Overall, was a relatively small portion size. Approximately 10-15 minutes wait time for food to arrive. Prices typical for the area. Atmosphere was slightly run down and expected for what you would find here. Maybe visit if you want a quick lunch but nothing fancy otherwise.

The vibe of the place is 💯. You don’t hear the hustle and bustle of the city. Kind and friendly Staff. The food was great. Portion size was perfect. Would definitely recommend!

I expected a bit more. It was a little below expectations. Plates were quite small. Bun bo hue was okay; lacked meat. The rice was also decent.

I ordered the pho soup. It is very tasty full of fat. I also had a soursop drink; it was a good one not as strong as I remember eating the real fruit but worth it. I believe it is family owned. They are clean and attentive. Lady is very nice and good looking.

The service was attentive, staff is friendly, I ordered rolls and chicken curry dish and I just wanted to say this is the best curry I ever had!!!!!! Will be back for sure

I ordered bun dac biet, and the food is a solid three stars. The toppings are full and okay seasoning. However, I prefer quality over quantity due to topping sizes and amounts; I only tasted flour and barely any meat for the rolls. The pork marinade and fish sauce weren't great either.

Second time here and I absolutely love it. Not many places offer rice paper egg rolls and these are some of the best ever. The snail noodles were also fantastic. They have a nice menu selection I look forward to trying on my future visits.

Edit: new item unlocked - curry chicken bun! It was so warning, hearty, scrumptious... It left me wanting more. Family run shop. There's been consistency over the years and one of the only places I think is serving a good bowl of pho. Other things are good too tho it's pho I'm always looking for. Take out bun/vermicelli is a great big portion too! I like how you can order a single item of side protein if you feel like it to jazz up whatever you're having.
