Amazing food and great service. We didn’t think we would find a good soon tofu soup place outside of downtown core but this is it. Highly recommended.

Buk Chang Dong Soon Tofu is one of those cozy, no-frills gems that never disappoints. My fiancée and I went on a Wednesday evening, and it was as bustling as ever—a testament to how popular this place is. It’s one of her absolute favorite restaurants, especially for the tofu soup, which she always raves about. She ordered her usual, and I opted for the rice and bulgogi combo. The bulgogi was tender, flavorful, and perfectly marinated, and the rice was served hot and fluffy. The service was efficient and attentive, even though the restaurant was busy. Our dishes arrived quickly, and the servers were friendly, regularly checking in to refill side dishes and ensure everything was okay. Speaking of the side dishes, they’re simple but excellent, especially the kimchi and the bean sprouts—classic staples that complement the main dishes beautifully. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with that classic Korean eatery vibe—casual, welcoming, and perfect for both regulars and first-timers. Whether you’re here for a comforting bowl of tofu soup or trying the other dishes like I did, you can’t go wrong. My fiancée says it’s a must-visit, and now I see why. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice place. Simple tofu stew centric menu, reasonable prices. The restaurant was surprisingly busy, it looks like the business is good. Plenty of free parking around too.

We recently visited this Korean restaurant, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, with a standout being the hot stone rice—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and a delightful mix of textures. It truly felt authentic and comforting. What made the experience even better was the wonderful and friendly customer service. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and always ready to answer questions or make recommendations. They went out of their way to ensure every customer felt valued and taken care of. Overall, this restaurant combines great food with exceptional service, making it a must-visit for anyone craving Korean cuisine. Highly recommended!

We ate at this location a number of times and each time the quality of food and service was great. The spice levels matches with our expectations. The owner/manager is very attentive even during busy times and the service from the staff is also good. For example, a staff offered me an apron when I was wearing light coloured clothing, which I thought was caring of them. In particular, I wanted to mention a time when I forgot my phone at the restaurant, and though it was passed closing time, the owner/manager waited for me to come back to pick it up. I really appreciate it!

My go-to place for warm Korean tofu soup. We usually go to be one in downtown Toronto but this place has parking! Truly wonderful. In any case, you can expect the same flavor of soup. The seafood was still as we remembered, as were the side dishes. They also offered pork bone soup and while the meat was soft and delicious, the soup was on the saltier side. Finally, this may be a plus for some but this store doesn't scoop the rice and pour water into the stone pot for you, like in the other chain. Here you can choose not to do so if you want to enjoy the crispy rice on the bottom layer.

Love the pork bone soup here! The broth isn't very special, but still good and flavourful. The pork is very tender, and the portion is very generous! I felt like I had too much pork, which is rare, especially when it tastes that good. Just wish the dish had potatoes in it. I also really like the stone bowl purple rice that comes with it. The staff are friendly too, so it's an all-around solid experience that is worth returning for!

This is our new favourite Korean dine in spot ! The owner’s nephew was super friendly and patient with us. My daughter loved their Korean pork bone soup (mild). The stoned rice really hit the spot. I personally don’t like stoned rice because of the crust. This place totally changed my mind… my daughter and I cannot get enough of it ! She finished everything! The bulgogi was tender and juicy. The only thing I think they should work on is their side dishes. It’s all on the salty side but might be good for those who don’t want to eat too much sugar. We cannot wait to go back!
