I slept on this place. It's decent. Sides are more than just a baked potato. Steak was cooked medium rare perfectly. The ribs were not only fall of the bone but very tasty. Their new holiday dessert is also a knockout for those with a sweet tooth. Warmed cinnamo bun with a bunch of frosting

Well, yet another night out of yum. To start, everything tasted wonderful, and the night itself was great! I really enjoyed the ribs with my chicken and ribs. The chicken itself was a little too tender for my preference, but that being said, that's more of a personal issue it's a great choice overall! Our server checked up on us a lot, and we knew he was available if needed. It was a great service overall. They did forget about a Pepsi, but that is definitely a lighter issue that was fixed as soon as it was realized. 4/5 Would recommend!

I visited this restaurant for the first time on Friday, November 15th to celebrate my birthday dinner with a friend. To start, we ordered calamari as an appetizer. The portion size was noticeably small, so we brought it up with the waitress and the manager. The manager assured us that portions are weighed and offered to bring something else to make up for it, but unfortunately, nothing was ever brought to the table. My friend ordered the Louisiana Grilled Chicken Salad, but the chicken (with grill marks) was served cold. When she asked about it, the waitress said it was supposed to be cold, which was unexpected and not enjoyable for her. For dessert, we tried the cinnamon bun, which was highly recommended by our waitress. The menu photo showed it topped with multiple candied pecans, but ours only had two—definitely not what we expected. My friend also ordered a latte, but when it arrived, the waitress apologized for serving it in a smaller mug than usual. This made my friend feel like she received less than the standard portion. The service and attention to detail did not meet our expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend this place nor come back based on this experience.

Nov 30/24 Updated review: I accidentally gave this restaurant 3 stars last time. It really should have been a 5. We arrived there on a Sat, without a reservation, to celebrate our anniversary. Glad they were able to accommodate us. We were seated at a nice booth by the window across from a nice display of wine bottles. The food, service and ambiance of Baton Rouge was excellent. The server even acknowledged our anniversary by serving us a complimentary dessert - yummy! Will definitely be back.

Have loved Baton Rouge for years starting in Montreal over 20 years ago. This location holds that tradition for me. Service was great, staff were on point. I go for the ribs, that's just what I do, and even after 20+ the Baton Rouge formula keeps them as my #1 rib destination. Somewhere between the softness of the fall off the bone ribs and the sauce they use, keeps me coming back year after year and this location checks all the boxes!!

While the ambiance at this establishment is pleasant and the staff are friendly, the overall experience falls short of justifying the higher prices. The food, while decent, fails to impress and doesn't warrant the premium cost. Additionally, the service was notably slow during a non-peak period, further detracting from the dining experience. For the prices charged, customers rightfully expect exceptional quality and taste that sets the establishment apart from others. Regrettably, this was not the case. While cleanliness is commendable, it is a standard expectation in the industry. In conclusion, despite the positives, the lackluster food quality, slow service, and failure to deliver on the premium pricing make it difficult to justify a return visit. Better value and superior dining experiences can be found elsewhere.

I treated my family at this Baton Rouge location recently and while I envisioned it to be similar to the Keg or Chops Steakhouse, I was sorely mistaken. We went with a group of 4 adults and 2 young children (3 generations of family members) and we ordered a variety of apps and entrees and the consensus was that we would never return. At those price points, I expected better food quality. Don’t get me wrong, the ambience was perfect, ideal for datenight, but if you’re like me and prefer good food over mood lighting, I would go somewhere else. Here are the items we ordered: - Mac and cheese: nothing special here, similar to someone you would get from a cardboard box - ‘Signature’ spinach dip: this was fine, no complaints, but you can’t really mess up a spinach dip - Calamari: the crunchiest was there, just wish there were more pieces at the $20 price point - kids ordered from the kids menu, prices ranged from $10-$13, entree included side, drink and ice cream - Sunday special top sirloin with soup and cake: Two people ordered this and one piece of steak was over and the other was under. My husband can remake better steak than that!the chocolate cake was way too sweet and we both left it on the table after taking one bite - Signature Baton Rouge burger with an order of poutine on the side.m: The gravy on the poutine wasn’t even hot so the cheese didn’t melt. The manager overheard us talking about it and offered to remove the surcharge from our bill - Grilled Mediterranean branzino: my dad ordered this and I didn’t taste it myself, presentation looked ok, the risotto looked wet The bill came to about $250 (we didn’t order any alcoholic drinks). Ambience 10/10, staff attentiveness 8/10, food 2/10. We eat out a lot and for $250, I can eat better at a lot of other restaurants.

I’ve had dinner here just recently to celebrate my friend’s Birthday and we had such a great time. I love the place and the ambiance. The foods were great and delicious not to mention the service we had from our server that night. I could not remember her name but if I’m memory recalls, her name is Sarah. She was so polite and even gave my friend a complimentary cake for my friend’s birthday in which it is the second time he celebrated his birthday here.
