Brown Donkatsu - DOWNTOWN

One of the best katsu in Toronto. The portion size is generous and good for two people, or when you are super hungry. The staff is very nice and the place has been recently renovated.

Food: (pork curry katsu) portion was great, very big depending on your hunger. The sauce was good, little spicy like I said and it was perfect. Very kind stuff and attentive. The atmosphere was calm and cozy, the music wasn't that loud letting the customers communicate. Thank you for the experience!

Generous portions. Kind servers. Their signature brown sauce has a sweetness to it which I’m not a fan and made the food not enjoyable. It would be better to have the sauce on the side. Their chicken and pork taste good.

First time visit. The chicken cutlets are sooo good. They give a really big serving. I tried the combo original sauce and cream sauce. The brown sauce is really tasty. Also ordered thw snow cheese ( cutlets topped with mozzarella). We also tried the corn cheese and it was delicious!

Ate here for lunch with a friend during the weekday and the place was packed! The service was great; food came out super quick and the staff were friendly. The food was delicious and as you can see from the photos, the portions are huge!! You will definitely have some leftovers to take home which is never a bad idea, in my opinion. The katsu was cooked perfectly; not too salty or dry due to excessive deep frying, rather, it was juicy on the inside, chewy and very crispy. Recommend coming here.

HUGE portions. Like reaaaally huge; I literally had to take out half of it. It was tasty, and the serving was great as well, the waitresses were really kind and helpful! The price is really good considering the amount of food you get, plus the water is free

Went for a stroll after work and stumbled upon this resto. The slideshow on the TV screen which can be seen from outside made us hungry! Great advertisement 🤣 Was not expecting the portion of the food would be big, that we had to take out half of it. For me, it can be shared by two person. The value for money to food ratio is valuable and reasonable. Presentation of the food was superb as well! You can choose the level of spiciness how you like it as well. It comes with rice, corn cheese, and coleslaw. Staff were so accommodating and answered all our questions regarding our options, they’re always smiling too! 🫶🏼 Atmosphere was good, small space but cozy. Would be back to try others on the menu. Will list what we got accordingly 1. Fried shrimp 2. Gyoza 3. Cheese bomb katsu 4. Grilled chashu 5. Half and half ( I actually forgot what it is 🤣)

Really great food - all of the meats were correctly tender and juicy with perfectly textured breading. The side items were all pretty decent as well. The portion sizes were quite large, and the prices were quite low. Usually restaurants downtown cost more, but this place was amazing value for what you get. Service and atmosphere were also fine.
