Bread and Salt Afghan Cuisine

We had an amazing dine in experience here. My family had takeout many many times esp during COVID but in person today was fantastic. Ezekiel was a fantastic host. Keep up the great work team!!

We’ve been here a few times before and had a great experience, but the last time we went here the service was terrible. It took forever for the food to arrive and it was staggered, we didn’t get everything at once. When the mains came, she didn’t walk around the table and serve it to each guest. Instead she reached across the table to put a huge platter on the table. Why not walk around and just give it to the person directly? Why lean and reach across the whole table? We also ordered some masala chai which took forever to come. After waiting a long time, our server came to tell us that the first batched had burned and they needed to remake it, so then we had to wait again. When she brought the tea, she didn’t bring sugar. The server barely checked in on us. So we waited a long time and she never came, so we got up, walked to the back and had to ask for sugar. Then she brought out the sugar with no spoon! By the time we got the sugar and spoon (not spoons, just one single spoon for the table), the tea was cold. She also never once cleared the dirty dishes from the table- they just kept piling up and we had little to no space to comfortably eat. Food was good but will never dine in again.

Amazing food. This is a proper fine dining restaurant serving Afghan cuisine. The alu paratha was an amazing appetizer. Tikka, and afghan kebab were served with a good serving size of afghan pulao which was extremely flavorful coupled with the sauce which is such a killer combination. Ended the food with dessert which was midly sweet. It tasted like my version of feerni.

We had our friend birthday here and food, desserts were amazing, the stuff was so attentive and kind. They cerebrated my friend’s birthday the best way possible :) appreciate it and we will come back again!

Have only ordered catering previously so decided to dine in. It wasn’t busy at all when we arrived. We were seated right away, they bring you bottles of water immediately without asking if you want tap or bottle. The bottles are $2.49/ bottle. We waited some time till they approached us to take our order. The mantu was alright, the dumpling was a little hard around the edges but the filling was good. The chicken tandoori plate was good, the rice and chicken were flavourful. We also got the chicken tandoori sandwich, I wasn’t expecting it to be in a tortilla, I had assumed it was a naan. It was alright, the chicken itself was good, I didn’t like the tortilla as it became soggy very quickly. The service was slow, sandwich arrived much after the plate, had they had informed us it was on the way, it wouldn’t matter. We had to approach them to ask if it was still coming. No one checked in on us during meal, we wanted to order something else but decided not to.

I went to this restaurant with my family today for lunch. We had skipped breakfast so we were really hungry. Drinks were served immediately which was nice. Our favorite was pina collada, mango, mint lemonade and strawberry. Drinks were very refreshing. It was nice to see an Afghan restaurant with beautiful ambiance and nice decor. Everything was delicious specially the Mantu, chapli kababs and beef kabab. Feerni was probably the best one I've ever had in GTA. So glad we got to try this place. Highly recommend 👌

Delicious Afghan food and lovely ambiance. We enjoyed our lamb shank and vegetarian chapli kebabs with kabuki pulao . The drinks were super good and servers were kind and caring. Will definitely visit again with family.

The food here is excellent and so flavourful and cooked to perfection. I had the daily lunch special which consisted of tandoori tikka chicken, salad, and fries (or you can choose rice or bread). The limo nana (mint lemonade) was so refreshing as well. The service that day was just ok. The restaurant itself is clean with beautiful decor and lots of seating. There's lots of parking as well and lots of variety in the plaza. Highly recommend and I can't wait to try the other items on the menu. 👍
