A beautiful, cozy little restaurant with super friendly and welcoming staff. We had breakfast there once, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was delicious, the coffee was excellent, and the service was incredibly warm and attentive. We’re already looking forward to becoming regulars. Plus, it’s great to know you can also order through Uber Eats for those days when you want to enjoy their offerings at home!

It’s such a warm and cozy spot. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food is fantastic. I’ll be visiting here more often for sure!

The best place in Toronto to get brunch or lunch. The staff are super nice and friendly and will always welcome you, the environment will remind you of your grandmas house and the food is just absolutely amazing. They are know for the chicken schnitzel and I can see why. It’s large, the toppings fit in very well and it’s prepared in front of you. Overall an amazing restaurant to add to your list!

Quaint little spot by Mount Pleasant with super attentive and kind servers, aaand everything is made in house. They’ve got tons of options for schnitzels and really good breakfast options. Would definitely come back!

Super nice people who make wonderful comfort food. Street parking available. Cozy corner restaurant with a small sheltered patio. Late breakfast for two with a take out meal & dessert came to 72 dollars with tax & tip. Large portions will leave you satisfied. We had the eggs with peameal, veal schnitzel Benedict, coffees, an order of meatloaf with potato salad and a mighty fine dessert. Not fully accessible as you have a couple of small steps up from the sidewalk. Will definitely go back for other dishes such as the goulash soup. Got super busy come lunch time but the Staff still managed to dish out the various orders.

The server was friendly but food and service just aren’t up to par. I chose to dine on the patio and waited 10 minutes for a server, but ended up going inside to order at the counter. No problem, they seem understaffed so I understand. The food came about 3 minutes later with napkins but no cutlery or water so I asked for water just as she was about to leave. The schnitzel is pre-made sitting there until ordered (for quick service I assume) however when they reheat it, it isn’t crispy at all. On top of all that, I found a hair on my plate… I really wanted to like this place but will not be back.

Their goulash ($9) arrives steaming hot and emits a comforting fragrance. I could taste the spices teeming in the broth, creating a rich flavour profile with a hint of heat. Filled with chunks of beef, vegetables, and fluffy teaspoon-sized dumplings, it’s a hearty soup that could become a meal with a side dish. I did find it a tad oily but may work if you’re soaking up the broth with bread. Bread and Butter’s schnitzel sandwich ($12) is assembled-to-order with a choice of bun (Kaiser, cheese, or onion) and protein (chicken or veal). I dressed mine with mayonnaise, pickles, hot peppers, and lettuce to augment the lightly breaded chicken schnitzel. In retrospect, I’d leave out the pickles as they’re the sweet variety detracting from the savouriness of the sandwich. If you’re already having soup, it’s a good idea to share the sandwich with another person as it’s huge. If only the chicken cutlet were hot, the dish would be incredible. Still, I understand with the limited staff their ability to freshly fry or even heat up the schnitzel is difficult. With a display case of cakes and pastries, I opted for a slice of apple strudel ($5; estimated based on bill total) to go. There must be a full apple per slice as the pastry was essentially chopped and sliced apples surrounded by layers of phyllo. While the spices were delicious and the sweetness spot on, the apple’s skin were left on, so the chewy bits took away from the lusciousness of the dessert.

super cozy! Feels like you are in grandma's house for a breakfast bite. the food was delicious, I got B&B which is benedict on schnitzel. the schnitzel was preheated I guess but still very delicious. the homemade pancake didn't serve to my satisfaction. many people get pastry take out. the staff were friendly. Would recommend this place.
