煲仔飯是廣東地區的傳統美食. 好的煲仔飯最講求飯粒分明, 入口富油香,帶少許焦而不燶的飯焦. 做法不繁複但講究選材及火候控制 Rice in a pot traditionally known as clay pot rice [bo-zai-fan], is an ancient cooking method that was invented thousands of years ago. In the present day, clay pot rice is still very popular in Hong Kong and Guangdong cuisine. The secret to an excellent made clay pot rice is actually no secret but to cook the rice in a clay pot. We use a clay pot because of the pores found in the material of clay which allows the rice to breathe and absorb the natural flavours of the rice. An authentic clay pot rice is not complete without the crispy rice found on the bottom of the pot called [fan-jiao].

I really love the clay pot rice at this restaurant. Anyone who enjoys crispy rice can't miss it! This place offers excellent value for money, with delicious dishes at reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly.

Most of their food is cooked and served directly in a bowl so it is sizzling hot. They are tasty, good portions. Ample free parking. They serve beers. Pretty good price.

Take out! Garlic honey pork chop is ok, not dry but not juicy. Garlic taste and honey can be / should be stronger. Now it is kinda bland. For some people who don't like strong flavor, it will be perfect. Steamed chicken is alright. Meat is tender and flavorful. Tofu bowl is oyster based. A good perfect vegetable dish to complete a balanced meal. The tofu is refreshing from all the meat heaviness. Lastly, the pan-fried white fish egg is a comfort food for many Chinese families. Every Chinese mother knows how to make this dish, and Bowl kee made it well. Anyway, no one wants to cook tonight, and Bowl Kee is a good option.

Specializing in Canton Stone Baked Rice Casserole, been here a few times. Place does not take RSVP. Expect the casserole to take 25mins to cook. Made fresh to order every time. This place will have every type of casserole available. Non-casserole menu is extensive as well. Food is ok, would recommend for casserole.

This is a long standing restaurant in New Kennedy Square. Staff are friendly and nice. I had 3 dish set and it came with complimentary soup and dessert. The clay pot rice with preserved meats and sausage was OK. I had better in HK. They don’t leave the lid on to steam after you put soy sauce in which is suppose to be how it’s done. A clean restaurant to Chinese standards w clean washroom is a good start.

This is a clay pot rice specialist restaurant and it has been around for a long time. I know they changed owner a few times. My visit was 31Dec2013 dinner and the are very busy. They let us make a reservation at 6:30pm which is great. The clay pot rice is ok in compare to others and their other dishes is not bad Clay pot rice is 6.5/10...... Sorry. Service is amazing Parking is somewhat limited Table to table is really tight. During dinner is a eat and go kind of restaurant.

Lot of different kinds of clay pot rice. We have ordered pork with salty fish and ribs with Chinese sausage. Both taste very good with slightly burned rice at the boot of the pot (which is a good thing 😄). Other dishes is about the same as other Chinese restaurants. Waiting time for clay pot rice is long but you won’t be disappointed. Also you can’t stay there for too long as there are people waiting to be seated all the time.
