Bosk, nestled within the elegant Shangri-La Hotel, offers a serene and sophisticated ambiance. The interior design is both beautiful and calming. For a quieter dining experience, opt for a table towards the back of the restaurant. However, if you're looking to enjoy a cocktail and some live piano music, a table closer to the bar is the way to go. While the setting is undeniably impressive, the culinary experience falls short of expectations, especially considering the price point. Despite the meticulous attention to detail, such as the orchid centerpiece on each table, a small oversight like a dead orchid on our table was disappointing. It's a minor detail, but it reflects a lack of care that undermines the overall experience. We opted for the carbonara with cured duck yolk and guanciale for lunch, a dish that sounded promising. While the flavors were good, it didn't quite live up to the hype. For the price, we believe there are other restaurants in Toronto that offer better value and more memorable dishes. That being said, the sourdough bread was excellent, and the chili oil was a standout. It was a flavor bomb that elevated the entire meal. The portion size of the carbonara was appropriate, avoiding any post-lunch food coma. While Bosk offers a lovely atmosphere, the food doesn't justify the price tag. The setting is undoubtedly beautiful, but the culinary experience falls short of expectations.

The servers were very attentive. We loved the song quotes on the tables and the live piano player. It was a great atmosphere for a special evening.

The dinner food was more on a salty side, however, they serve nice breakfast that taste so delicious( I suspect they have different chef at night and in the morning )

Nice restaurant but food quality is not a five star experience in comparison to what is available in the city. While scallops were well prepared the they were a bit heavy on the salt. Risotto was good. Desert was the highlight I would call exceptional.

Summerlicious lunch was good but not great overall. Service was poor, in general. Don’t expect your water to be refilled up any time soon or dining etiquette to be followed for a multi-course meal (i.e. before you can finish the appetizer your main comes out, etc). It was poor taste. However, atmosphere was good. For the 3 course lunch we had: Appetizers: Pesche e Burrata was good with the peaches and burrata. Although the burrata had a thick outer layer texture taste. Insalata Verde was okay with the artichokes and crispy baby romain lettuce. Nothing special here. Main: Meluzzo was amazing! The cod was cooked perfectly with the tasty grilled heirloom tomatoes and smoked potatoes. Vitello was good but not great. It was veal loin that was good but it lacked depth and umami. Pretty much reminded me of a tonkatsu that tried to dress up fancy but failed to hit the mark. Dessert: Summer Peach Pavlova was delicious, would recommend if you love peaches and meringue. Limoncello Tiramisu was a miss. It was not a great take on tiramisu and misleading. It was more a pistachio tiramisu with a hint of limoncello. Would pass on this.

We came here for a Wednesday dinner. We started at the bar which had their happy hour specials going. The servers were nice. The atmosphere was laid back and had a musician playing the piano. We ate from the summerlicious menu for our dinner. Every item that came out was great. Highlights were probably the beef short rib and limoncello tiramisu. We will definitely be coming back.

The bread was better than any I tried in Toronto bakeries. The soup and salad were too sour, the fish was good, and the beef, although not overcooked, was tough to chew. The lemon tiramisu was delicious.

We stayed at the hotel and had a dinner and breakfast at the Bosk. We love the design and seating. The food was excellent too. The menu was similar to what you’d expect from similar restaurants but almost every dish has some special twist. The dishes we orders are full of flavors and they are not overly done. The breakfast was great too with a combination of Asian and healthy plates. This is definitely a place to try if you are around the area.
