Beautiful small family owned Mexican restaurant. Service was quick and great. A wonderful selection of authentic meals at a reasonable price. Everything but the churros were amazing. Definitely a place to check out if you are in the area.

Love the vibes at this restaurant 😍 the services was fantastic. Most of the food was delicious. $10 for guac was a little over board. + they charged us for a beer that we never ordered 👎

Border MX is hands down the best spot for authentic Mexican food in the GTA. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the passion and dedication that the owner puts into every detail, from the food to the service. Each dish is a true taste of Mexico, bursting with flavour. And let's talk about the margaritas—I've had plenty in Mexico, but these are on another level. Border MX is a gem, and I can't recommend it enough!

When i tell you this is an establishment that has now gifted me the best taco in the world, i wouldn't be lying to you. I actually zoned out and disregarded the rest of the table talking. Reading this review it seems as though it's really fake. Almost cringe. I'm telling you the food was Amazing. The baja fish was my second favorite. I'll come back here and ask the guy what he served me as when i ordered i asked him to make me whatever he enjoyed in the menu most (picture i have of the 3 tacos is what I'm talking about). Overall, everything tasted amazing and authentic, though I’ve had better Birria tacos and Birria ramen before. The ones from this place are close, but the main difference is that this place is slightly overpriced compared to those in downtown Toronto and the Scarborough area. We went for dinner, and there were only two tables occupied inside, including ours, and a couple of tables outside. We ordered chips and guacamole to start, but it took so long to arrive that we were starving by the time we got it. After finishing our starters, we still had to wait for our overpriced Birria tacos and Birria ramen. They both tasted great, but $25 for Birria ramen and $23 for three tacos is excessive, and that’s before taxes and a 20% tip. Everything would have been perfect if the wait time wasn’t so long and if we didn’t feel overcharged after the meal. We’re foodies who love trying new restaurants, and we have paid high prices at upscale restaurants that felt worth it, but this place didn’t feel like it was.

Delicious food, great ambiance— but the service was what set Border MX apart! We had the Tacos de Birria which was very flavourful. My partner got the Taco fiesta which is a very large portion so would recommend sharing this amongst two — however it does give you the ability to try them all. The mango margaritas were a perfect pairing! I will definitely be coming again.
