Bombay On The Lake

Absolutely loved the atmosphere! We have samosa chaat, aloo tikki and dry Manchurian and it was bang on ! It was freshly cooked. Remind me of my taste buds from India. Highly recommend I’m gonna visit you guys soon to try different vegetarian cuisines.

Indian owner Shilpa and her very cordial head chef 'Bright' - are wonderfully nice, good people, as are Shilpa's entire family! They create and provide excellent, healthy Indian food from 'Bombay By The Lake.' And they do their best to accommodate people. For example, if you cannot handle very spicy foods, like I am challenged to tolerate, they are happy to do their best to accommodate you. But if you are an Indian from India, or person who can easily handle very spicy Indian food, they can certainly provide that for you as well. Another example: if you are sick and home-bound, they may deliver to your door, and with pleasure. Customers can also order to pick-up. These are just some of the good things I am aware of, with this restaurant, their kind owner, and the very considerate people who work there. Super nice people and very good, healthy Indian food, from real Indian people, from India. One of Etobicoke's and West Toronto's wonderful cultural highlights. I didn't even mention some of their fantastic Indian dance-music videos they show in one area of the restaurant; wonderful talent! Much respect.

I had a delightful experience dining at Bombay on the Lake. The food was exceptional, with standout dishes including the Egg Curry, Prawns Masala, and Palak Paneer. Each dish was prepared to perfection and truly flavorful. The service was also commendable, contributing to a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-notch Indian cuisine.

This has been our go-to Indian restaurant for 14 years. The food is that good. We sometimes try other Indian restaurants, including the most expensive one in Mississauga. But it just makes us want to come back to Bombay on the Lake.

We came here on a weekday(Tuesday evening) for early dinner. Ordered Chicken hakkah noodles, veg manchurian gravy and Garlic naan. The food was not great. It was below average, Except the Garlic naan. That was good. Besides, The service was extremely disappointing. The naan was not warm at all. Upon requesting the owner who was serving us, she threw a tantrum and said, ‘I just got it straight out of the tandoor!’ in an extremely rude tone. So she went to the kitchen and told her chef (Deliberately said it out loud) that the naan is ‘COLD’! 2) We were almost done eating but still were hanging out, she interrupted to ask if we were done. (Subtle way of saying we should leave) and the entire restaurant was empty (can be seen in the pictures I have shared). So overall not a great experience and won’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Really a good location to try something different. The food was amazing , we really enjoyed it. The food is filled with lots of good flavours and good combination of typical Indian spices. It’s been my first time in this location. The ambience and the store was so clean and warm welcoming. We enjoyed . Highly recommended

I came for lunch with a friend and we ordered two of the lunch specials, and a samosa chaat. The chaat was incredible; samosa was crispy, and the chole and chutneys were delicious together. We ordered the chicken biryani special (as seen in the pic) and the paneer makhani special (our appetite took over so we didn’t photograph the second one haha). The lady working there is super sweet and the food was absolutely delicious, with huge portions too! When we left, we were stuffed to the brim. Will definitely be coming back again :)

We ordered butter chicken, vegetable samosas, naan, biryani, and a paneer dish and everything was amazing! So much flavour. Good portion size. Excellent customer service. I can't wait to eat there again. I really enjoyed my whole experience with Bombay on the Lake.
