We arrived in Boku by chance after looking for an Asian place to eat and let me tell you we were not disappointed !!! Food is amazing, the waiter is very kind and efficient. The place is beautifully decorated with good music. We did not wait at all for our plates and the food was absolutely divine. We all took different dishes and everything was delicious, tasty and the absolute perfect portion. From the ramen, to the appetizers to the donburis, everything was great ! Since I am French I don’t know what the average tips is but I hope it was enough for this place. Thanks a lot to the personnel for this meal !!

The food was delicious and worth the price for the decent portion. Would highly recommend the Chicken Karaage and Holy Cow Bibimbap. The Chicken Katsu was AMAZING, though I would have preferred it with rice instead of udon. The Champon Nabe Ramen broth was hearty and had a strong seafood taste, which I personally loved but others may not. Also tried the Black Garlic Ramen but I was not a huge fan of the thin noodle style. Service was top notch and atmosphere was cozy - would love to come back and try more!

The food feels pretty watered down and not very authentic Japanese food. My smoked duck ramen tasted like instant noodles, and the duck was more like deli meat (and it was missing an egg, then we asked the staff and they gave us one later). My friend’s chicken curry tasted like something from a supermarket sauce, and the chicken was bland. The service wasn’t great either, we had to keep chasing down the staff for attention. The decorations are impressive though. Overall, definitely not recommend if you're looking for real Asian flavors.

The place is clean with super kind servers!!! The curry was a good portion, left me full but not painfully boated. The chicken karagee was so juicy, and the curry was delicious. Not too salty, also not too sweet. The tuna was AMAZING, loved the little kick of wasabi in it. I would highly suggest this place for any hangout or cute first date :)

I made a reservation at BOKU to celebrate my birthday, but honestly, it was a complete letdown. It took over twenty minutes just to get our drinks. We ordered a few appetizers, and I asked for a spicy tuna roll, but they told us they had no tuna—which was pretty surprising for a Japanese restaurant. Then, our server came back and suggested we order our main courses because they’d take a while. When the entrees finally came out, they arrived before our appetizers. So strange! The place was clearly short-staffed; it seemed like only one server was covering the entire restaurant. I ordered ramen, which never showed up, but it still ended up on the bill. They did take it off after we mentioned it, but at that point, I was over it. I wouldn’t come back here. It was such a letdown after having high hopes. BOKU, do better—hire more staff to make sure everything runs smoothly. The whole dinner just left me feeling annoyed.

There are so many good options that I didn't know what to get! I went for the tuna and it was kinda of a small portion but still pretty good. They have great lunch combos and a really good variety of combinations that manages to not be overwhelming which is always appreciated. There are also cocktails and mocktails that complete the experience. Service was also very friendly and fast, will definitely come back to try other dishes🍴

Came across this place after a long and chilly pride parade and decided to give it a try. We showed up at around 7 so we got the 6pm and later dinner combos. Had the chicken curry rice + Sapporo beer combo for $22 and the chicken curry udon + Sake highball (strawberry flavour) combo for $26. Chicken was a generous portion, crispy, thick and juicy but could be a bit more flavourful. Both rice and udon dishes were warm and filling and hit the spot although I wish the noodles were chewier. Also got the pork gyoza as they had an offer if you leave a review and the outside was crispy and juicy on the inside. Service could’ve been better, we had to grab the menus and they were not very attentive although it was also busy so understandable. Will probably come again if in the area! Total bill was $54 after tax and before tip.
