The falafel sandvich was a 10. The french toast was hard. We could barely cut it. But The taste was good. Dont arrive late when its your turn in the waiting list. Because even if there are plenty of tables . They will make sure to scare you to go back in to waiting. Salted caramel latte was average. Cant say anything about the smoked salmon. Because dont order it if you dont eat seafood. The server was nice and attentive after we were seated. Its mostly full. So reservation recommended.

This was a random Google find for brunch not too far off the Danforth. I'm so glad we did find it because this place did not disappoint. The restaurant is cute and clean. Perfect for a nice coffee and baked good treat or brunch/lunch. The smoked salmon is a MUST HAVE and it's made in house. The brunch portion was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the fingerling potatoes texture had a nice slight crisp on the outside but soft on the inside and nicely seasoned. The coffee and latte were hot and fresh. The service was exceptional....Amanda B was super attentive and approachable. She was welcoming from start to finish. We later discovered we had a Scarborough connection....small world lol We will back again soon!!!! I

The perfect Toronto brunch spot. Everything was so fresh. Peameal bacon made in house. To die for French stick... again, incredibly fresh. A really cute place. You can tell the staff loves working here. Will be back.

Stopped by the Bodega for lunch , it is an absolute hidden gem on Gerard west of Woodbine . Its interior is well done, homely setting, compact cozy place with a good patio. Menu has good choices for breakfast and light lunch . It’s mostly packed with local residents who are regulars. We ordered mimosas and a Hot Fried Chicken Sammy as well as the Smoked Salmon Sandwich, both were delicious, prepared excellently and good portions. The fingerling potatoes are crispy in the outside and soft inside. Staff are friendly, welcoming and with smiles

Edit: My daughter and I dropped in today to try again. Because I didn’t make a reservation there was a 20 minute wait, which we didn’t mind, and is a testament to their popularity. We both had the BBQ peameal sandwich with fingerling potatoes, and it was delicious. I’m not sure how a potato can be made to taste that good. The entire staff was warm, friendly, and attentive, and I can honestly say that my opinion of Bodega Henriette has changed for the better. As promised, a gift card in my name was left for me, but I chose to pay for the meal because we thoroughly ourselves, and I wanted to be able to update the review without appearing to be incentivized. It’s a really lovely place I would be happy to return to, and you will too. Original: This is a tough one because it was such a mix of highs and lows. Highs: the food is excellent, and given the cost of food right now, priced reasonably. The atmosphere is cute and welcoming, and the space is artfully decorated. The lows: the food was barely lukewarm when it arrived, and cold before we both got to the end of our meals. It’s a bustling place, but expecting warm food shouldn’t be too much to ask. The person who checked us in, and the food runner, were friendly and warm. Our server however was inattentive, and did not seem to want to be there. Once our order was taken, we did not speak to our server again until I had to stop her to ask for the bill. No check-in about the food, no offer to have another coffee (or anything else). It’s busy, and it’s Sunday, but like getting warm food, checking on customers should be a given, no? Another low: the bathrooms: they were really dirty. The sink had some sort of grime/dirt all over, and the garbage bin was overflowing onto the floor. The paper towel dispenser had fallen off the all at some point (the holes where it used to hang were evident above the sink, and perhaps the source of the dirt in the basin), and a roll of brown, wet paper towel, was placed on top of the dispenser, which was sitting on the floor. It’s possible it fell off that morning, and understandably there wouldn’t be time to fix it, but this was my experience today. Also, no hook. Can’t hang a coat or bag, which is unusual for a bathroom. Our service was bad enough that we won’t return, but the food (minus the temperature) and space (minus the bathrooms), were great. Edit: I heard back from the restaurant, and they very graciously apologized, and offered me a gift certificate for breakfast and coffee to try them again. After going, I’ll update my review. A+ response, and entirely unanticipated. Thanks.

Came here with friends for a weekend get together. Cute place in the middle of east side of Toronto, on a main street that is on a TTC streetcar route. Atmosphere: cozy cafe eitt open patio that looks out onto a busy street. Perfect for people watching. Hard to get seats for more than four. Will require reservations on a weekend. Food served on cute old porcelain plates similar to ones your grandma used to serve you with. Service: Good, server was prompt, informed, came when needed. Had the iced tea: not sweetened, black tea, nice for a hot day. Had the tofu scramble on a curry chickpea waffle with a creamy drizzle? that was gluten free. Was not a fan of the creamy drizzle, it had little flavour and reminded me of mayo. Tofu was placed on the waffle which made the waffle a little soggy. Waffle was savoury and may need a little more flavour. Would have appreciated separating the scramble from the waffle since there were different tastes and textures. Went home with a stuffed cookie, which was heavy but tasty and not too sweet, best part of brunch. Food mate had the smoked salmon scramble, fingerling potatoes looked well cooked. Cost: $19-$20. Overall: nice ambiance, cozy feel, will try the other options next time.

Everything we Tried at Bodega Henriette In this charming 30-seat café in the Upper Beaches, you're greeted by large windows that let in plenty of natural light. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, making Bodega Henriette instantly feel like home. The brunch menu is short yet comforting and perfect. The food is fresh, high-quality, and served in generous portions. Their baked goods are outstanding; everything we tried was delicious. Bodega Henriette is the kind of place every neighborhood should have. 🏷️ $$ 🎥 @melissa_foodie.fun

Such lovely cute spot on the East End. I met two of my friends for brunch, on a Saturday, it wasn’t too busy, we were seated on the patio. Our server and the bartender were attentive, friendly and helpful, although a few times we had to get the server’s attention, service was still very nice. My eggs Benedict with salmon were great, I love the fact the salmon was thick and not very thin like many restaurants, my friends were also very happy with their meals. Definitely worth to try it if you are on the east end.
