BOCA Brunch On Cosburn Avenue

Terrible experience... not worth it. There was a beard hair on the pancake we ordered and the kitchen messed up our order. They put a pile of bacon on my vegetarian partners plate even though he just ordered 3 eggs with home fries and toast- NO MEAT. When they tried to serve it to him, we told them he didn't order it with bacon and that he's vegetarian and can't eat meat. They took it back and less than 30 seconds later they returned with the same plate but clearly they just took the bacon off of it. Unfortunately the bacon grease was all over the home fries and eggs, and there were still pieces of bacon mixed in with the home fries (it was hard to tell until you tasted it since the bacon bits had a similar colour to the bits of fried homefries). We were in a rush and my partner isn't the confrontational type so he just smothered it in hot sauce and tried to power through it. As soon as we got home, he had stomach issues from the meal and upon reading the reviews of cockroaches and pests, I threw away my home fries/toast leftovers as I was utterly disgusted. Service was prompt and the food came out fast, but the servers weren't very friendly or attentive. Our server was rude and stuck up.

A lovely little breakfast spot in the neighbourhood. There’s less seating in the colder months and feels a little more cramped, especially when it’s busy which was the case when my partner and I went Saturday early afternoon. We were still seated very quickly but were transparent in that we might need to move if a bigger group came and needed to sit at the larger table if needed (we were okay with that). Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. They checked up on us regularly and did not dillydally on letting us pay for our check. They really kept both food and people coming. My classic breakfast was made to perfection. I was skeptical about my potatoes (I like them crispier, all around golden brown delicious but that’s just personal preference) but they still had some crisp and were nice and fluffy on the inside. I tried some of my partner’s corned beef benny as well; hollandaise was solid and corned beef was a pleasant surprise as well. We shared a french toast. My one critique was that I wish it was a *little* more crispier (again, personal preference) but the flavour was on point. Delicious food all around. The prices aren’t too shabby as well in this economy. Very solid breakfast joint! Will be back when we get a chance.

Hands down BOCA is the best brunch in East York! This is our tennis group's favourite breakfast spot. The food selection and quality is excellent and the prices are very economical. My favourite is the Eggs Benedict Florentine - best I have ever had. Never greasy and has good coffee too. Thank you BOCA!

Love this place, the workers are really nice and easy to talk to, the food is delicious and worth the prices. I always get their chicken Caesar wraps because they’re just SO good!

BOCA serves awesome brunch and classic comfort food like Pancakes, French toast, sandwiches and many other foods, as their menu is quite substantial and should have something for everyone. Fantastic service from our server Tina as well!

Quintessential neighbourhood brunch spot with hefty breakfasts, pretty good prices, and friendly service. Stopped by and got the Avalanche and West Coast omelettes. Both were pretty tasty, with the Avalanche generously stuffed with bacon, sausage and ham, and the West Coast with standard salmon. They also had a good heaping of home fries on the side. Boca has a welcoming vibe and tummy filling breakfast fare. Can easily see why many people love it.

A great brunch place in the area. The banana chocolate chip pancakes are very good and filling. The hollandaise sauce is a little odd. The potatoes are very tasty.

We finally have found the restaurant to eat at when my family and I are in East York, Toronto visiting other family members. Food was so delicious, coffee and tea are a perfect taste. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming with open kind smiles. Kids are welcome here too! If anyone is looking for that perfect, kind and friendly spot to eat at. Please try this place! If I could I would give this place 10 stars, for sure.
