Big Bone BBQ & Wicked Wings - Whitby

The gist of it- delicious food, excellent service, and wildly good prices. EDIT: I clicked on the wrong price range value here in the review tool, switched to the correct one.. but Google maps is still showing the price range thing on my review as “$20-30”.. I’ve dined here a handful of times over the last year and always had the same experience. Been served by a few different staff, including I believe the owner, and yeah. Always friendly and quick enough. Food is delicious. On a recent visit one of the chefs was up in front of house for a moment, and ended up chatting us up about the food. He was super friendly and happy to hear our meal was good. The prices are wildly reasonable, also. $15.50 gets you a pulled pork sandwich (delicious meat, perfectly cooked, just enough sauce, and even the bun it’s served on compliments it all well) alongside fries and two small servings of coleslaw and their in-house baked beans. They have a lunch special that’s ~$12 which omits the beans and slaw, but. You can’t beat the value of the “full plate”. At these prices you’re only a buck or two more than going to fast food and getting one of their “proper” meals (not value menu stuff), and the food you’re getting is so, so much better than fast food places. Totally worth it in my opinion.

Came here with my wife on the recommendation of one of her clients she had which is the owner of this place. We ordered 1 pound of wings (smoked) with a Caesar salad and a brisket cheesesteaks sandwich with fries. There were 5 people in the restaurant (myself, my wife, another couple and a single guy) it took 35 minutes for us to get our food (already a bad start with the long wait time). Our food got to us and the wings were overcooked a tiny bit, it was a little rubbery. I sent them back and told the manager that they were overcooked (I heard one of the female cooks saying that it’s not overcooked) I believed it was. The Caesar salad was terrible, the cook had put water in the Caesar dressing, the dressing was very watered down. We ended up getting the wings and the salad comped which made the bad experience a bit better; though we probably won’t be back.

This place is Absolute gem fantastic from start to finish.Was greeted by the owner Scott who was very friendly and has amazing customer service. I ordered the big bone combo.Which comes with a pound of wings , half rack of ribs , slaw beans and cornbread. Now, if you're looking for authentic barbecue, look no further, this place is awesome,Just wish i knew about it sooner. Fall off the bone ribs with beautiful smoked bbq flavor, Along with fall off the bone chicken wings,nice crispy fries. Also has some beef ribs which were Mouthwatering🤤 Everything was beyond my expectations.This place is a definite must try if you don't your missing out but that's just my opinion.Thank you so much Scott for the amazing bbq you definitely got a repeat customer.

Food and prices are on point. (Corn bread has just the right amount of sweetness.) Service needs to be more attentive. Atmosphere is nothing special. It's what you'd expect from a strip mall plaza eatery. More of a take-out joint than a sit-down and enjoy establishment.

Went around 1 for lunch. Had Jacob as my server, he was very friendly, funny and made good recommendations. I had the mini combo and subbed swp fries and they were so good!! Very delicious food, generous portions and great staff!!! Will be back!! Thank you!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Absolutely fantastic!! The food comes in such large portions and is 100% worth the price. The beans are fantastic. My husband had the Fantasy Burger and it was to die for. I had to try the ribs and they did not disappoint! The fact that the price includes fries, beans, slaw and sometimes cornbread is unbeatable. Will 100% be back! Our server Rylee was so kind and helpful too!

Best ribs n wings in Durham. Throw hands with me if you disagree. Riley and Nick are one of best employees I’ve dealt with. They’re very friendly and welcoming! They deserve a big raise and more tips! The food was excellent. My tummy is happy and will come back…

Dined here and had a great experience. The beef ribs and brisket were tasty, and the service was prompt and friendly. However, I wished the brisket had a lighter barbecue sauce and was a tad juicier. Nonetheless, the overall experience was pleasant!
