Overall it was a bit disappointing considering the price range. The steaks are a bit overcooked for the types ordered. The duck was a bit too chewy. The service was slow and the servers weren't very accommodating but they were still attentive. Atmosphere was a bit loud and the music was alright.

High style, great room, very good service. Oddly, though it was a slick stylish, downtown lounge/restaurant, staff were wearing jeans and the mgr./maître’d jeans and a casual sweater. Food was very good, a bit pricey. Very enjoyable visit overall. Would happily go back or recommend it to friends.

This was my first visit to Biffs and I have to say I was impressed. We had a private dinner with a set menu so I can't comment on price, but the three courses I had were very good. I started with the liver pate which was delicious and then had steak frites as my main. The steak was cooked perfectly and had a very good flavour. Finally, I finished with the Basque cheesecake, which was very good, although I didn't think it needed the fresh fruit additions - Basque cheesecake is perfectly good on its own. I do need to mention the service, which was exceptional. I'll definitely consider coming back in future. Pro tip: try to book after 6 so that you can take advantage of the on-street parking right outside.

My partner and I visited Biff's for an early dinner. We were seated by the window in a somewhat quiet. Our servers were knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. We both started with a glass of prosecco and the Caesar Salad, which was delicious. To me it is a great indication of attention to detail if a restaurant offers a unique Cesar salad that is true to its origin. So definitely order this salad. My partner had the Coq au vin which he enjoyed. I had the "Normandy" apple-braised pork ribs which are only offered on Leaf's Game Nights. I like to order a dish that I do not prepare at home, and ribs fits this bill. The portion was very generous - served with braised brussels sprouts and crispy fries. Delicious. We finished with the dark chocolate brownie (hazelnut, Caramel sauce, a scoop of vanilla ice cream) and berry sorbet. Perhaps the greatest surprise was that we arrived during the Happy Hour and were able to snag a wonderful bottle of Tunuta Cocci Grifoni Pecorino "Tara" at half price. We did not finish the bottle (we'd already had prosecco), so our server happily re-corked the bottle and we carried it home to enjoy the next evening.... All in all, a wonderful meal. The severs and sommelier were super.

I brought a friend for dinner and we had an amazing experience. Our server Hugo was so informative and attentive the entire evening. We ordered the oysters, escargot, and beef carpaccio to start and we were happy with all three. The real stars of the show for us was the 7oz tenderloin and the lobster that we both ordered to share, wow! We finished it off with the crème brûlée, which didn’t miss! This is a great French bistro, especially if you’re a steak and lobster lover. I will be back!

Such a different fun vibe at this place, we tried the Coq au vin and the trout. The chicken has an excellent rich flavour and the fish offered more of a citrusy flavour. Loved both the dishes and the staff is very friendly. Thank you April & their manager Mike is a sweetheart. Will be back soon!

Had a good experience here, the atmosphere and service was great! The French onion soup was great, but the ratatouille and steak frites left something to be desired, especially considering the price. Hope it opens again, I’d still go back.

My friends and I were late to a concert so didn't get to try their mains but I need to rave about their French onion soup. It was the best I've tried ever. I don't know how they caramelized the onions but the texture just melted in your mouth. There was the perfect amount of onions and the broth was superb. It wasn't salty like a lot of the places so it was seasoned perfectly. They also gave a generous amount of cheese, baked well while still keeping the croutons crunchy. The raw oysters on the other hand didn't have much flavors and the beef tartar was just ok. The white wine that we ordered was really good though. I would come back here for the French onion soup everyday.
