Betty's Restaurant

The prices have increased recently which is to be expected, but the quality has gone down as well. We go a few of times per year and most recently the prime rib dinner was not good. They are cutting it very thin and over cooking it. The vegetables (which have always been the frozen sort) were cooked to mush. Had a glass of white wine which was served warm in a dirty glass. They switched out the glass and brought the wine back again in a dirty glass. Betty's has always been a family dinner type restaurant where the food was consistent and it's unfortunate we had a bad experience last time. Pies here are always good. They make them in house.

What an incredible experience. They came highly recommended and now we know why. The entire experience from entry to exit was phenomenally amazing. This is a very comfortable place to eat. Not fancy, just delicious home cooking. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the liver and onions with bacon. Both were astounding. Yes, we tried each other's dishes. We will definitely be going back and telling others to make the trip there. Thank you for such an exceptional experience.

Slow place but the food is amazing. I came for the prime rib and they were out, got the fish n chips and was not disappointed! The fish was nice an moist the batter was crunchy and airy, when I think of fish and chips I usually think of it being heavy and greasy and this fish and chips were crispy, airy and far from greasy. The coleslaw was fresh, salty and sweet, perfectly balanced. I also tried a few bites of my friends steak and it was amazing. Genuinely great food. Service was nice and friendly, fairly fast too considering they had an event going on. Definitely will return!

We spent our Christmas celebration here with my Filipino family, and it was a great experience overall. The location is super convenient, with a large parking area that made arriving stress-free. The ambiance was quiet, cozy, and perfect for a family gathering. While we did encounter one waitress who was a bit rude, the rest of the staff were incredibly warm and attentive, which more than made up for it. The food was fantastic! We tried a variety of dishes, and every single one, including the desserts, was delicious. It made our celebration extra special, and I’m happy to give 5 stars for the great food and the majority of the friendly service. Highly recommended!

Betty's is like a home cooked meal away from home with great service and great food. The Sunday specials are always great and so is the seafood platter. Take a look at the height on that lemon meringue pie too!

We were looking for somewhere for a nice dinner. We found Betty’s, it did not disappoint. The roast beef special was delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. The Yorkshire pudding was amazing. The special included dessert and the pies are amazing. The service was excellent, everyone was super friendly and very efficient. We will definitely be returning. It was reasonably priced and good sized portions.

Another place the wife recommended we go. We actually tried to come here last few times when we were in Niagara but we eat dinner typically around 7/7:30 and Betty’s closes at 8, so we kept missing our window…but that changed today!! We made a conscious effort to come in at 5:30 for dinner. Staff and service was great/friendly/attentive. My wife and I each got the prime rib dinner which was absolutely perfect. We haven’t prime rib like that in a while. Daughter got the grilled cheese. Everything came with dessert so I got the coconut cream pie — wife wasn’t too thrilled with the shredded cocunut in the pie but I like it. Wife got the strawberry rhubarb pie to go (so haven’t tried it yet) Will definitely return!

Update: Oct 2O24 Fish sandwich is delicious. Fries were a bit underdone (pale and limp). Pies amazing as always. Update:April 2024 Amazing food as always. Today we decided to go with Wednesday special which was a turkey dinner. Came with a hot fresh roll and butter, thick slices of white and dark turkey meat, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, mixed vegetables, and your choice of desert! Amazing!!! Jan 2024: Always good food and good service at Betty's. Excellent for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Check ahead of time to see what day/times they might be closed (as I believe they close at 8 p.m. and not open mon &Tues). Food is fantastic, value is great, save room for dessert!
