Just had a buffet experience with my roommate and his boyfriend. We walked in to an empty restaurant. It took a moment, but a nice, quiet lady helped us to our seats and instructed us to scan a QR code and pay for the buffet experience. It was $20 each before tax. We were given waters and thin, crispy, fried things that tasted amazing, lightly spiced and salty. This, however, was a preview of the rest of the meal: nothing was labelled and we had no idea what we were eating from the buffet unless we specifically asked. Everything was delicious, however, so that's not a big issue, but it would be nice to know what we're eating. Perhaps investing in some labels would help. The selection wasn't enormous, about 12 different dishes to choose from. One of the dishes -- which we would come to find after asking was goat -- was probably my favourite thing there. The meat was delicate and the sauce it was in tasted warm and inviting. Additionally, there were cans of soda available. Dessert was a little lacking in terms of choice, but there was gulab jamun and another round dough dessert I didn't get the name of. Again, both were absolutely delicious. After the meal, we requested to leave a tip as there was no option to do so since we'd paid online. The owner obliged and helped us pay in. We'll definitely be back. I hope the owners find a way to promote their business more and more, because it was a little sad seeing all those empty seats. Thanks again!

Ok let me very honest in reviewing this. As a Bangladeshi in Hamilton, I was super excited when I saw this opening up. I was literally drooling when I found that I will be getting Bangladeshi food in my own city. With so much high expectation, i literally dragged my husband to have some bhorta-bhaji with shada bhat. But honestly I was so disappointed. The food was not “great or wow” but its ok. But the thing that disappointed me more was the ambience of the restaurant, the server, the customer service. Not at all professional or upto the class. The presentation of food should be improved. The server or customer service should be drastically improved and be more professionaI. I also want my non-Bangladeshi friend to come and taste authentic deshi food but i guess you guys still need a long way to go. Its good that recently you guys are getting active on Instagram and helping people know about Bangladeshi. Appreciate it but please also use your marketing strategy to improve the quality of restaurant. I feel sad that how other Indian/Pakistani restaurants bring out their culture and country in a small dine in place where as we are so far behind. For a good outcome, you need to put something for your business. If you can welcome people more professionally and good ambience, people even from Toronto will come here for the food believe me. Just like we never hesitate to drive to Scarborough for some good food. Don’t take it personally. I am not being judgemental or not an expert but this message is from my core of the heart just wanting a good Bangladeshi restaurant.

So oily. I can't believe I paid $17 for half a chicken breast (chicken tikka masala). It tasted ok, but not better than what I get at the grocery store for a quarter of the price. Not super flavorful and the texture was tough. The curry was weird, we tossed it because no one could stand to eat it. Also had no heat whatsoever despite being advertised as "fairly hot". Worst curry I've ever eaten, which sucks because curry is one of my favorite foods. Two meals for 35 bucks and maybe one chicken breast collectively.

Great new halal hakka bengali/indian restaurant, which offers some of the most authentic bangladeshi cuisine! We had chicken biryani, lamb biryani, kala bhuna, chai and mango lassi. Everything was delicious and tasty. Owner was very welcoming, nice to us, felt very homey! Would definitely recommend trying out their offerings, as we were pleasantly delighted. We will be coming back for more ☺️
