Benihana Niagara Falls

The first glance at the bill, I noticed that they charged me a tourist tax! I told them to remove it and they did, just had to tell them that I was local!! Actually am local but this is a complete scam tax, they tell you that it goes to the city of Niagara Falls to help pay for the lights at the Falls, NOPE, THEY KEEP THIS TAX FOR THEMSELVES, NOTHING GOES TO THE CITY OR REGION!! Then the server comes back with the TOURIST TAX REMOVED, however after looking at the bill I see that the HST SEEMS WAY HIGH, especially since it has been removed on restaurant food right now!! What they did was CHARGE ME HST ON THE 18% Gratuity! ARE YOU SERIOUS!! Why would anyone voluntarily pay HST ON A $120.00 TIP!! 😡😡😡😡 So I called her back and told her to REMOVE THE HST and she did! WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE SCAM ON UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS! I did provide an 18% tip, however I have no idea if the staff will ever see a penny of it!

Amazing food and service! My boyfriend and I were walking by while on the strip and he wanted to take me to my first Hibachi restaurant; he'd been before but I hadn't. The chef was very lovely and sweet, and the food he made for us was outstanding. My blue rare filet was perfectly done (most chefs tend to overcook to rare) and melted in my mouth. The portions were quite generous as well. Thank you for the best first Hibachi experience. <3

Definitely the worst experience I have ever had at a Benihana. Overpriced for sure if you are Canadian and after I phoned prior to coming to the restaurant about there being no fees, they responded with only tax. That was a lie as they charge my friend and I a Niagara Tourism Fee of $6 and we had to pay 18% tip. That was not agreed upon. They did not deserve an 18% tip. The food was very well-prepared and just right, thanks to Chef Toto. However, they were dishonest on the phone and waitresses, hostesses and management were staring and creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for my friend and I as we were ordering and talking to one and other when I was promised only a tax fee. We wanted our own table but were not granted one as soon as a group of three walk into the restaurant. Definitely not coming back to this Benihana. Way too overpriced! Not the best service. Food is what to be expected: fun and yum. Thanks, Beni Niagara for snaking an $100 off my good friend and I!

While the food is definitely expensive, it is worth it! The service is also amazing! We told the hostess we were on a tight schedule so she made sure we were served quickly. Then the waitress checked with us when paying to make sure they'd left us with enough time. There was a couple at our table celebrating their anniversary and they gave them a complimentary glass of champagne and wrote happy anniversary with their names out for them.

Benihana is an upscale Japanese Steak and seafood restaurant. We enjoyed the Shogun Feast of lobster, steak and shrimp. The steak and seafood were prepared at our table and cooked to our specifications. Our chef Hermon has worked at Benihana’s for more than 20 years. Hermon was entertaining and attentive to our wishes. The grilled vegetables which accompany dinner were nicely prepared. Thank you for a memorable experience in Niagara Falls Ontario!

The quality of the experience depends on the chef you get. Very disappointed with the experience we received. The food is what you would expect from a quality steak house, but with a roughly 20$ per person premium for the experience. We got what was likely a new chef which is the reason for the 2 stars on service and atmosphere. I asked him several times to speak up as I could not hear him. Very little showmanship. The food was great, but you could get the same quality of food for half the price elsewhere.

Good food and drinks with a show, but here you definitely pay. This was my first time here In Canada, but just across the border where I live in the United States it's the same quality for a way better price. They charged extra for the hibachi rice as white rice comes with the meal. They even charged $4( $3us) for the yum yum sauce. It was good but I definitely wouldn't eat here again due to the cost.

Went on a slow Sunday night but they still did a fun show. The food was delicious! The restaurant is just between Clifton Hills main stretch and Niagara Falls Casino. Enjoyed my time and loved my $40 off voucher.
