I love everything about this restaurant! I usually don’t write reviews, but this place is perfect! Food is amazing, the atmosphere is lovely, staffs are extremely sweet!- their bread is super chewy and I LOVE THEM❤️ +) Food was so so good, we had to visit again a few days after our first visit. Then we ordered Foccacia loaf (HUGE) as well, to share with our family for Christmas. This restaurant is that good, and it’s absolutely my fav!

Found this place almost by accident and I’m so glad I did! The waitress was super nice (even suspiciously nice sometimes 😂), the food was great, not heavy and felt very fresh with tons of options to choose from The only thing that it was a bit pricy (but I guess that’s because of the good materials) and the coffee was just nice… 🫣 But still, we’ll def come back

Not sure why Google deleted my review. Reposting again. Where do I begin. First of all it was definitely worth the drive from the Township of King. While the Township of King is known for its exclusive Italian restaurants, I felt that my family and I got our money’s worth at Bellona. It is very challenging I would say to find a pure Italian restaurant that is vegan / vegetarian in York Region let alone any other cuisine that is pure vegetarian / vegan. I must definitely thank Google for providing this recommendation. We were celebrating a special occasion and I was fortunate to make a reservation for the afternoon lunch in a short period of time within less than a 12 hour period. As for the policy of having a credit card required at the time of making the Open Table reservation, this was new to me but I didn’t mind at all. I completely understand from the restaurant’s point of view. Something similar that you may see at a major chain or boutique hotel as well. To those who did complain, well it was given in fair warning and in advance. We were the first to arrive at the restaurant and eventually it got busy. I can see why this place is very popular. The server was friendly and gave us a quick run down with the menu options. One being a prix fixe option and the other being their regular menu. For appetizers we started off with the bruschetta and tomato & roasted red pepper humus sliders. Main course was the roasted red pepper rigatoni and the pizza with tofu and artichokes. To end it off, I had a cappuccino which had the right amount of espresso and it was hot. Food was excellent. Right amount of spices, not oily / greasy and we didn’t feel bloated after. Overall we enjoyed the place and will be back. As for parking, we found a spot on a side street. So be prepared for this. Food - 10/10 Ambiance - 10/10 Service - 9/10

Really glad to have found this italian style restaurant with multiple vegan options !! My only comments would be that the rigatoni were a bit overcooked and falling apart, but the sauce was very tasty. Loved the calamari. I think they should go for a fully plant based menu, I find it useless to see real cheese on the menu when they do have vegan cheese. It would be better for the animals and our planet ! Oh and also, I was very cold, AC was way too high 😅 maybe crank it down a notch !

This was first time at Bellona, and I must say hands down the best vegan pizza in TO we’ve tried so far. So fresh, so authentic, not salty, not oily ! Jacob and the rest of the staff were VERY friendly and VERY kind. The design of the restaurant felt like home 🏠 My only feedback would be the music, would be nice to have more instrumental music. This was my husband’s birthday lunch and he was very happy with the food. It is not easy to find delicious authentic vegan food and this was a hit 🥰

It was truly one of the best experiences we've ever had! Each plate we received surpassed the last, getting better and better with each course. The lavender lemonade was perfectly balanced, with a charming color to match. The eggplant parmesan sliders? Absolutely amazing! And the main dish, olive spaghetti... oh my god! And let's not forget their house-made focaccia bread—it was hands down the best focaccia I've ever tasted.

Great service, the server was kind and attentive. The eggplant slides were so delicious, I’ve now gone back thrice for them. Must try! Also, had their squid ink style black color pasta dish which was well balance and a delightful main, it’s pretty cool because they make it with activated charcoal so the pasta shape is black. My friend got the mushroom ravioli which she enjoyed as well. I did find their drinks to be on the sweeter side. The tiramisu is good, it does have coconut whipped cream so the coconut flavor does shine through. Go there on an empty stomach as there is much to try and enjoy

It’s our first time to try a plant-based restaurant. And Bellona didn’t disappoint! I love the simple yet delicious flavors! We tried their Summerlicious menu: Hummus Pomodoro and Eggplant Parmesan for appetizer, Ravioli and Lemon Pesto pasta for main, and Tiramisu and Red Wine Chocolate Cake for desserts! My personal favorites are the eggplant, ravioli and red wine chocolate cake! 🥰 I also love their focaccia and pizza crusts for the hummus. We were told that they are freshly-baked everyday and everything is made inhouse. Which explains their high quality-tasting food! 👌🏻
