I wanted to celebrate my wife’s birthday in a genuine Italian restaurant and we couldn’t have found a better venue. The owner was charming, the staff were cheerful and the food was so delicious! Additionally, our friend, who eats meat and dairy, agreed that her plant-based Italian meal was out of this world. I have eaten across many regions of Italy and would rate Bellona on par with some of our favourite Italian restaurants. If you want a charming venue with superlative service, this is it.

Friends took us here and it was amazing. The food was great with good portion sizes. You can’t beat the 3 course meal for value; definitely recommend this place.

The food and service were both great! Went with a group of three, and we all got the 3-course meal for $27, which is a great value. For my first course, I had the marinated tomato & hummus sliders, which were fantastic. If I could have just gotten three courses of these, I probably would have. For the second course, I had the lemon pesto cream rigatoni, and I also tried some of the la segreta ravioli, both of which were very tasty, albeit somewhat small portions (only as part of the 3-course special, I believe). In future visits, I think I'll try some of the pizza, which looks delicious. For dessert, we tried the apple fritters, red wine chocolate cake, and tiramisu, all of which were great; I would get the apple fritters and red wine chocolate cake again in a heartbeat. Our primary server, Jo, was delightful, and all of the staff were very attentive and helpful. Will definitely be returning in the near future!

If you are vegan and crave Italian, look no further We've visit d Bellona's other location, so were waiting to visit their new location on College. They have elevated the ambience and service while maintaining their awesome quality of food. It's a must visit if you are hosting friends in the city or are looking to impress your date. We love their eggplant slider, along with that we are now fans of their Tofu pizza and pasta. I had my first vegan Tiramisu today and it was yum! If you are a fan of icecream, please order their vegan vanilla ice cream, it's amazing. I feel like I am having food in Rome when I am there and this new location makes you feel special too. Highly recommend for vegans and vegetarians!

I don’t really review restaurants but I had to review this one because this was one the best meals we’ve had in recent times in Toronto! We had such a great time at Bellona, I love how they’re keeping it affordable and not compromising one bit on quality, taste and quantity as well. 27 $ for the 3 course menu is great value for money and there are so many options to choose from. We particularly loved the pistachio ravioli, the calzone and the eggplant parmigiana sliders. Service was top notch and Danielle was amazing. Thanks bellona for a lovely time, we hope to be frequent patrons. Keep it up!

Bellona – Filling a plant-based need in Little Italy After waiting all summer for Little Italy location to open, I had the pleasure of trying Bellona finally and I can say – it was worth the wait. I also love that it is adding to the growing vegan scene along college. While it is a vegetarian restaurant, the majority of their menu is vegan or can be made vegan. Atmosphere and Service: The space has an inviting and warm atmosphere while feeling classy and sophisticated. They have tables, booths, high tops, and bar seating allowing for a range of group sizes. Sadly there is a step to get into the restaurant so if you require mobility aids, probably call ahead to ask about a ramp as I didn’t inquire. The plates, utensils, etc are all very stylish and have a great texture. My service was fantastic, even though it was a slower mid-week evening, I am sure during a rush it would be the same. Everyone had a great attitude and was super friendly which really added to the already warm atmosphere. Special shout out to my server Jo, she was lovely and she gave me the time to decide on the menu, never feeling rushed. Drinks: I wanted to give kudos and mention that besides cocktails, wine, etc., they also have a handful of mock-tail options which is great. Food: I tried the Caesar salad and the La Sagreta ravioli. Caesar salad: I know it is just a salad but I was genuinely so impressed - I would buy the Caesar dressing if they sold it individually. Often, I find vegan Caesar dressing has a weird aftertaste but this was delightful. Paired with their herby homemade croutons and brightened up by the acid from the lemon they serve as a garnish, it was really balanced and had a lot of dimensions. My only criticism would be that it was pretty heavy on the dressing so if that is not your thing for salads, ask for it on the side. La Sagreta ravioli: exciting to be able to eat ravioli again. It is not often I am able to find vegan ravioli so when it is offered it is exciting. The pasta is made in house, cooked perfectly, and I felt like it was a healthy portion given the price. The ravioli is stuffed with a mild tofu cream cheese which paired beautifully with the bright acidity of the tomato sauce. Obviously, the ravioli was good, but the star of the dish was honestly the sauce. It had a well-developed flavour that stood out but was not overwhelming. The chef should be proud. All in all, I had a great time and I look forward to trying the rest of their menu. The new location is fantastic and I can see this restaurant becoming a staple in the neighbourhood. If I could make a request, hopefully you can add at least one gluten free option like a risotto or polenta dish in the future.

A true 5-star dining experience! Every dish we ordered was fresh and flavourful. Special plug for the carciofi appetizer - best artichokes I’ve had in the city. Plenty of great vegan options too which is often hard to find at Italian restaurants. Waitstaff were incredibly kind and attentive and made great recommendations. And the space itself is beautiful. Highly recommend for all Italian food lovers, vegetarian or not!

Bellona: A Fresh Take on Italian Cuisine! 🌿🍝 If you’re looking for a unique Italian dining experience, this new Italian vegetable restaurant is a gem! The ambiance is cozy yet sophisticated, with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients that make each dish shine. Every bite bursts with flavor, showcasing the creativity and passion of the chef. The menu is full of delightful surprises, from beautifully crafted vegetable antipasti to innovative pasta dishes that redefine Italian classics without compromising on taste. The roasted vegetable lasagna and eggplant caponata are must-tries! They even have a great selection of local wines that pair perfectly with the vibrant flavors. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, providing great recommendations if you’re unsure where to start. I left feeling not only satisfied but genuinely inspired by how amazing plant-based Italian cuisine can be.
